In order to install PortableApps on some internet-less (or very-slow-internet) computers, I'd like to have a couple of options:
- download all setup files of my currenty installed apps (on my computer where I have a *fast* internet connection)
- keep setup files when I update my installed apps (see above)
I noticed that all those .paf.exe files are actually downloaded in a temp folder but they are automatically deleted when the update has been completed.

I'm now working on another program and I want to completely block the changing of file associations on the system.
Is there a way to do that no matter the OS?

I read that it's possible using the registryvaluewrite function but the instructions given are not all that clear on how this would be possible...

In working on the startup speed of LibreOffice Portable, I've been considering how long it takes the Windows API to handle loading the fonts in. This process takes place every time you start LibreOffice Portable and the fonts are removed every time you exit. LibreOffice has bloated up to include 86 fonts as of 5.2.1. I'm not sure how much this is an issue, though, as I don't have a good setup to test on.

I have downloaded all apps except BPBible and Colour Contrast Analyser,I have used VPN and reinstall windows 7 to download BPBible and Colour Contrast Analyser from portableapps platform internal app installer,still doesn't work.

I've been working on a launcher for the Windows Moviemaker6 and am stuck with an annoying glitch I can't seem to shake off.
Here's what's going on.
I have a launcher for both the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of the program along with a bunch of registry keys. Everything seems to go well. Keys get saved and all, but when I look in the task manager, the portable launcher stays running even if I closed the program. And killing it causes the launcher to say it wasn't properly closed on last run.

Thanks everyone for the continued work on the PortableApps platform and apps. I use them almost every day and they are quite the life saver! I really appreciate the work on this project! It is especially great for using Windows on my MacBook, I have little room to spare on my Windows partition and the ability to run hundreds of great programs off of USB/external HDDs, and such is great!

Given how handy Portable apps is and the fun you can have it would be nice if you could setup a drive with a given set of apps and then export a list so that you can send somebody the list file so they can get an updated copy without having to deal with downloading a frozen copy first.

This would help a lot with the Portable MakeHuman thing since Blender Gimp and some support tools need to be downloaded also for things to work.

triggering the install could be as easy as having the export file in a clean folder with the PAS installer

I'm trying to make a portable version of SmartMorph (http://meesoft.logicnet.dk/) and I'm running into a strange problem.
When I run the launcher file it doesn't save the registry entries to a file like it should.
I made the Launcher.ini file with the following entries
