Is it typically safe to overwrite the older files with a new download of Firefox Portable, without affecting addons, settings, and a custom .css file within the existing folder?
Thank you.
Hello. Am new to using Firefox Portable and I have a question (of course).
I want to get Firefox Portable to open links when I click them from M$ Outlook. Even the option to pick which browser, when I click a link in Outlook would be okay.
I tried a freebie called Browser Tamer, but there are no instructions or examples on how to get it to work. I tried different method with it, but either the installed Firefox still opens, or I cause errors opening links.
As it is right now, even when I am using Firefox Portable, my default browser will open instead.
Recently I was going to use the browser that I would usually use “librewolf” but a error popped up saying that this file is missing, i tried reinstalling it but still failed.
it looks like at Sourceforge all Firefox versions higher than 90 have disappeared,
no download of current versions possible. Does anyone know what is going on?
Hello evryone, If I open the PApps Platform and try to add new programs, I really miss a good description of every program. So it is difficult to decide, what program is useful for my special needs . It would be very helpfull to add a site with small introduce of every program: what is it for, what can it do, what special properties does it have....
I have been unable to update the platform to the latest version 23.0 for several weeks. I am using Windows 7 SP1 with updates turned off. Also some applications do not update, but I can update Mozilla Firefox as an example. Interestingly, apps can be downloaded manually with no problem through a browser, but not through the platform.
I get the following error message: https://i.imgur.com/Bansdmb.png
Please remove the "Sage extension for firefox" application from the RSS readers section, because the download link is no longer available or working.
This does NOT mean those files are infected; only that ClamAV alerted on them. Current signature base for ClamAV as of today; scanned from Linux against a USB drive. Perhaps some review of the distribution might be in order?
I used to use PortableApps.com apps all the time when I was on the windows based OS. I have since switched to Mac. Do the apps work with Mac and Apple products?
