Just wanted to say a big thank you for having made the 32 bits version install optional in Firefox and Thunderbird.
Since I'm syncing those folders, it helps me keeping my backups lean and snappy!
While updating PortableApps to my flash drive dedicated to PortableApps, Norton 360 displayed a File Insight notice on my screen. I made a copy of it and save it to Downloads. The Details read Threat Type: Heuristic Virus. Detection of a threat based on malware heuristics. CDex-2.24.files. Threat name: PUA.InstallCore. Many users Tens of thousands of users in the Norton Community have used this file. Mature This file was released 3 years 3 months ago. Low This file is low risk.
I'm working on getting wire transfers working for as many folks as possible. One thing brought up is folks who use QR codes in the EU. I've put together a test one without an amount pre-filled and was hoping some folks in the EU could test it out. You don't need to make a donation, I'm just wondering if the code will work with your banking app and then let you pick an amount. Or if I need to make a few for pre-selected amounts.
Thanks for testing and please let me know your thoughts.
UPDATE: Now set to €5 since we can't do one without specifying
When Avast antivirus is active, BabelPad can't be installed using PAF file, although automatic Updater can update it.
When installing using PAF file (with Avast active), it stops on "Downloading Babel Pad", "Connecting" and after a while an error message pops: "The installer was unable to download BabeIPad. The installation of the portable app will be incompleta without it. Please try installing again. [ERROR: SendRequest Error]".
Both updating thru automatic updater or deactivating Avast and installing using PAF file worksperfectly.
I was looking for a way to associate portable apps with file types in Windows, both to make the portable app the default program to open that file type and add the portable app as an option in the right-click "Open With..." context menu.
I found several previous discussions saying doing so will "break portability" because it would leave traces behind after the app is closed. However, Portable Apps already can add shortcuts and automatically launch apps on startup, which must also leave behind traces.
Does anybody else see old posts from as early as 2006 showing up as new posts?
Something is messed up.
UPDATE: We settled on Dual Architecture and that has been used in the PA.c Platform for about a year now.
It's been like this for a few days already:
In the bottom left corner of the homepage, the lists "App Releases & News" and "Just New Apps" under the headline Latest Releases & News are no longer lists but just links.
I don't know if this was changed on purpose, if it's a site bug or if it's my browser's (or an add-on's) fault. In any case, I find it more complicated now to look for updates since I don't use the platform launcher.
Not sure how this happen as I had " ask me first" but my thunderbird updated so I did a system restore back 4 days
and still got xpcom error......how do i restore old version ?
I have about 10 email address and 50k plus emails so id like my old version (91.10) back and working with those emails,
cheers
