How about the 2.0.2 upgrade installer...Has it come out yet?
Hey guys,
When testing apps, please manually pair down your regshots to just the pertinent information before posting. If you need to post a large regshot, please pastebin.com it and link to it rather than enclosing it in PRE tags. This huge regshot caused our site search indexer to hang. The bug has been reported, but it makes sense to avoid these huge posts anyway.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I just want to know if this program is already considered portable as long as I use the JAVA portable to run it.
I've downloaded the JAR file and it seems to install in a "contained" directory.
Link of the program is as below:
Any advise will be very much appreciated. Thanks
When firing it up on a new machine I get a message about reading empty registry entries. - working on win 7
I left my usb at home @ work I can only use IE which I don't like using, instead I download the portable version of FF from here and installed it, apart from the folder where it is installed is it possible that information can be and found elsewhere? And just to be on the safe side I configured it to autostarts privatebrowsing each time I start the browser.
Is it possible to configure or create Portable Apps in such a way that it would provide more security by only allowing a program to operate within the limits of a defined file system. Ie portable apps would create a cage around its self and applications so even if they are malicoius they can not get outside the cage either to read confidential information or to spread viruses etc? This would allow users to run the software they need but also keeping the IT people happy.
Please excuse me if I am in the wrong forum or if this is just a terribly noobish question.
I dl'd photshop CS5 expanded version, with the repousse options, and additional plugins.
The program dl'd succesfully, but am having some trouble accessing the repousse options. Succumbs to graphic card errors. I have checked the settings: Edit/prefferences/performance, and the "open GL Drawing claims to be on and video card detected.
I have a Sandisk 16GB Cruzer, U3 enabled, with the Portable Apps platform in a sub-directory, meaning that it doesn't automatically launch on insertion, though the U3 Launchpad does load. When the U3 components load, it creates a "virtual" CD drive and a separate applications drive. My question is this: If I move the Portable Apps to the root of the applications drive, will the PA autorun.inf file overwrite the U3 Launchpad's autorun.inf, thus disabling the U3 capabilities? I´m not really sure how the U3 architecture works, so I want to ask someone here before I even consider this.
I really like the way screenshots are presented here. When you click on a thumbnail image a larger image fades in and covers most of the screen. I have seen a very similar effect on other sites and I would very much like to know how it is done. I presume it is a java script, but where did you get it? Thanks.
