mount to folder + no admin rights + Open Source - any encryption tool?
TrueCrypt is great but lacks an important feature. Mounting to folder instant of drive so it wouldn`t need admin rights.
Is there already another tools which can do this?

I was working on a way to COPY and REMOVE folders in Application Data when I accidentally removed ALL sub folders Application Data while I thought I removed only Application Data\testfolder.
Even my quick launch bar is now gone
Some of NSIS are very sketchy and googling didn't help either. Well I found a 'solution' but that wiped my whole Application Data folder clean. I have no idea how to restore it or what will happen if I reboot...

Is there anyway to make portableapps open rar/zip files?
in my pen drive is better to keep the files compressed instead .exe. because that way, i can safe some space.Files .exe are bigger than .zip/.rar.So would better i add files .rar/.zip in the main menu but as far i know i can't do that due the file association with .exe or .paf.exe.
any idea?
and sorry for my bad english.
thanks all
Hi,
Would anyone know if there is a possibility to have a password prompt when first accessing the PortableApps?
Many thanks
The latest release of Eraser overwrote my settings. Is there a problem here or is this to be expected? Can I just copy a file from a backup to get things going again?
I'm looking for a program that will password protect anyone from accessing my UBS drive. I'm a teacher, and grades, reports, etc are on my usb drive. So if a student took it from me, it would at least like to have the security of the kid not being able to open the usb drive without a password. Is there a portable program like this that I could use?
also, I was wondering if there was a portable keylogger?
I thought something like the following ought to be on the page. I know it's obvious but there's mileage in spelling it out?
These are big advantages to me - not very well worded I know, but you get the idea.
And last but not least
I notice that the images rarely work when reading the RSS feeds, at least in Google Reader. It seems that there's a referrer check on them as the same images work fine from the actual portableapps.com pages. Not a big deal, but mildly annoying.
I ran across an article on MSN today that mentioned Portable Apps.. Here's the link: http://tech.msn.com/howto/articlepcw.aspx?cp-documentid=6335916&icid=tg6...
