If I port an app, will you guys include it?
I can easily port Vice (ancient Commodore 64 emulator) and MAME (http://www.mame.net/) will work already out of the box.

which do you think is better? I personally only have a MSN account if anyone wants to know.
which one should i use, and why?
Just wanted to update everybody with a status update. The switch of the apps from Portable AppName to AppName Portable is nearly complete. I used the opportunity to add in new features (like Live CD support and in-place upgrades) to every app as they were being worked on. The last 2 apps are Gaim and OpenOffice.org. They're both in pre-release now. Since Gaim Portable 2.0 B3.1 seems solid, I'll be releasing that later today or tomorrow. I'd like a few more people to test out OpenOffice.org Portable 2.0.3 before I release it, especially people with Windows 2000 boxes. So, I think I'm going to shoot for releasing on Monday or Tuesday for that.
I am looking for financial or checkbook software suitable for use on a USB flash drive. I was kind of surprised that I didn't find any of this type of software among those listed at PortableApps.com.
It seems like a natural to me: An application you can use to keep track of several checkbook accounts and carry it with you on your flash drive.
There are a number of software applications of this type available but I haven't found any that is specifically designed for use on a flash drive. Has anyone out there tried any of these apps on their flash drives? I'd like to get suggestions on which
Mozilla development team used Sunbird and Lightning names for the same release ("0.3 Sunbird/Lightning Release")
Are those product identical -- ie can sunbird 0.3 be integrated with Thunderbird?
If not, will Lightning be provided as a portable app?
Thank you.

Hi all,
I need some advice with regards to licensing. As you know I am having some issues with Lapwing, however I I can over come these with the help of a non open source DLL file. Now I am very interested in doing this as it would mean that I could get the project finished. However I need to know if under the GPL, which Lapwing is currently under if I could distribute the DLL, the author doesn't have any issues with it although he won't open source it. I I am not allowed to distribute it is there anything that would allow me to do something similar. If not what would you think if I made Lapwing un-open source.
I would appreciate it if someone could help by double-checking me, but it appears this basic freeware game is quite portable when installed to a flash drive.
I installed it to my PC and then copied the files over to my flash drive.
I deleted the two uninstall files.
I then uninstalled the app from my PC, which appears to do so cleanly.
Yahtzee does create a file when you use Help, but it's created in the Yahtzee folder.
Here's the link:

I have this stupid little 119MB USB stick drive. I installed Portable XAMPP Lite and MediaWiki on it and I only have 3MB left but the cool thing is that IT WORKS!! I now have a mobile server-side programming learning lab on a stick - all thanks to this site! YOU GUYS ROCK!!
I'm looking into the Sandisk line of USB drives, maybe the Titanium or whatever it's called.. but I've read reviews on the U3 program being annoying/hard to remove.
Is this true, and if so.. is there a way to completely remove it to where it's an empty USB drive like others you buy?
Thanks in advance for the help..
If you need to compile a program, try using Compilr.
This should be as good as having a portable compiler.
Edit: I also found an online Java compiler.
