Safari for Windows

Submitted by BvF7734 on June 11, 2007 - 3:00pm

I have searched and seen only Safari for OSX requested as a would be nice to have thing. As Apple has released Safari 3 for both OSX and Windows, may I be the first in what undoubtedly will be many requests for the fine site to consider making Safari3 portable? It is also in Beta public release so it is not finished yet... It appears to be either in whole or in part using GPL and LGPL code so it may be possible legally?

Let the discussion commence.

its a video download client for videos that have the Veoh or divx codec. s' at www.veoh.com. + if you have the right interface then you can turn it to Veoh tv and use your tv to view the movies and shows rather than your monitor. its really cool and free. i have tried it and am addicted to it. so....

not anything like bitcommet but "BitTorrent". like from www.bittorrent.com. its free (like most) and if we can get something going with them and make this portable that would be awesome because it has a sweet, easy to use and dumb a$$ friendly user interface, not to mention it is pretty fast. so......

XMMS2

Submitted by got.no.guts on June 11, 2007 - 3:35am

I noted a post asking for XMMS to be made portable for Windows.
The response was that XMMS is Linux/BSD only, and if there was a Windows Port to post it.

XMMS2 has gone to a client/server model... and both the client and server are available.

Esperanza is the client
XMMS2 is the server

Is it possible to build a single package of this pair as a portable app?

Port Scanners

Submitted by juanete on June 10, 2007 - 3:13pm

How about port scanners? Nmap? Angry IP Scanner? They are both great open source tools. I actually have them on my Papps menu, but there are a few issues (like saving the scanning results and configuration) that doesn't make them fully portable.

Family Album

Submitted by Jami on June 10, 2007 - 2:28pm

I was given the job of scanning a bunch of family pictures to make CDs for all the relatives. Does anyone know of a simple portable app that will view TIFs and allow for text descriptions? Thumbnails might be nice too, but not required. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
