It'd be nice if the PAP would not attach it's self to processes that are already running
I'm not sure "Attach" is the correct way to describe this but...

I'm not sure "Attach" is the correct way to describe this but...
Description: I'm running a Samba server on a DDWRT router. I'm not running anything unusual (that I'm aware of). I've installed other apps to the network share to confirm proper read-write behavior and functionality. The apps and games I've installed all seem to function correctly. Albeit there was a weird error when I installed JDownloader where I was told it could not create RIGHTS (which I assume is a folder permissions change based on the dialog).

The PortableApps.com Platform appears to be using HTTP (instead of HTTPS) for many of its connections.
Could the PortableApps.com Platform be upgraded to only use HTTPS?
Even with checksums, using HTTP creates many risks that can be mitigated with HTTPS.
HTTPS certificates are currently free of cost.
Receiving "Download Error: Reget Error on file" from PortableApps.com Platform when trying to update apps.
Hi all, hope I've posted this in the right place.
Been a user for a few years, and wanted to transfer my install from one stick to another.
I've tried both a manually typed password after a reset,
AND having Apple keychain remember what my changed password is
and in both cases, after a half-dozen tries,
when I log out, and then attempt to log back in
either manually typing my password
or letting Keychain re-enter what it captured when I reset the password
Portable Apps will not let me in.
Not on my Mac, not on a separate PC.
I've often wondered why the PortableApps.com platform takes a long time to load.
I finally had some time to take a look at the issue.
I used NirSoft's FileActivityWatch utility (freeware from Nir Sofer on nirsoft.net) to examine what is happening.
According to that utility, I noticed a few things:
Unable to open app on my tablet... Frustrating. SOS.
With the recent release of Portable Apps Platform 20.1 the updater is asking that I
Please close all instances of PortableApps.com and then click OK. The portable...
In checking Task Manager for running versions of PortableApps I find only the updater is running. This has occurred almost daily over the past two weeks. While not fatal it is frustrating that something that has happened flawlessly over the past years should now be problematic.
Can anyone give me some advice as to how to resolve this issue?
