PortableApps.com Platform

Installed Next 4.2 release and I am no longer able to scroll the app window and using the up arrow at the app bottom, the app disappears from the screen but is still running according to task manager. Icon is missing from Task box.
XP home Netbook with planty of disk and memory. Previous App worked fine.

How do I rectify the problem.

I have a new suggestion for the Portable Apps Platform.
In following I write PAP for "Portable Apps Platform".
By the way: I am using the version 4.2 of the PAP.

At the moment the hot key to display the PAP is [CTRL]+[ALT]+[SPACE].
It would be fantastic if I could configure this hot key in the preferences.
Useful if this hot key is already used by other applications or of I just want to have an other hot key.

When I download new apps via the PAP, it would be very useful to search for apps in the "Portable App Directory" window.
Here a search field should be displayed (like the search field in the PAP) where the user can enter search criteria.

If I have entered some text, then just those entries are shown, that contain the search text.

Hello and sorry if the problem has been mentioned elsewhere. My attempts at "search" haven't found anything.

I see a strange problem when I use the USB device outside of the Windows world, or even on Windows programs that don't use the standard file-explorer window.

I like FastStone image viewer. They have directions for installing their app as a portable app--just download a zip file and place the entire folder on the drive you want to use. http://faststone.org/FSViewerDownload.htm

Now I have done this--placing the file onto my USB drive, but I'd also like it visible when I open my my portable apps directory.

I tried to run the latest preview/beta release of PortableApps platform menu with screen readers but found its interface still inaccessible. I use NVDA (nvda-project.org) and SA (serotek.com) screen readers. Since I have to rely on a keyboard navigation, e.g. up/down arrow, mouse input would not work either.

I downloaded and installed the PA Platform.
I have the German user interface.

After starting it and going to "Manage Apps" I selected "Get More Apps...".
Here a very huge list of applications is shown (so network access is possible).

I also was able to download the following applications (via the PA Platform):

• AquaSnap (1 MB downlaod size)
• WinDirStat (1 MB downlaod size)
• CrystalDiskInfo (1 MB downlaod size)
• Eraser (1 MB downlaod size)
• System Explorer (2 MB downlaod size)
• Instantbird (11 MB downlaod size)

Download was run today. Installation was successfull.

Windows 7 SP1 with current updates.

I was trying to find Mozilla T-Bird in the app store(Manage Apps->Get more apps) but I do not see it there. It does appear under 'Internet' apps on the pa.c website.

After some looking I noticed others that were missing:

Filezilla
ToDo List
XMPlay

I don't have 'Show Only Open Source Apps' or 'Show Advanced Apps(Beta, Test, etc)' checked.

Are the above 3 apps classified wrongly?

I have about 72 portable apps installed and PortableApps.com Menu (opened with Start.exe) takes almost a minute to load application list. It shows loading bar, but when switched to other task it gets hidden (which happens with me almost everytime), and when I try to click tray icon, it doesn't respond. I am requesting to create a "disabled" icon for tray to identify that it is loading apps list so I should wait rather than clicking it again and again.
