PortableApps.com Platform

Hi all,

When I insert the USB memory stick with Portable Apps installed into my USB port, I would like the Portable Apps platform to launch automatically.

As far as I know autorun is enabled and the autorun.ini file is present on the stick so not sure where I am going wrong.

I would love to see the flagship app, the PortableApps Platform, added to this.

Using 2.0 beta 5, Vista Home Basic 32bit (also tested on XP Pro, Win7 Pro).

If I try to update my apps at least 1 app is listed (firefox 5.0.1). Currently i'm using Firefox 3.6.18, and I don't want to upgrade in the moment.

So today I try to update again and two updates were listed: VLC and Firefox.
I uncheck Firefox and clicked on next. After a while of downloading the updater responds: download error: transfer error on file http://...VLCPortable_1.1.11.paf.exe

Not sure if this ?? should go here or Other Apps forum. I have discovered and installed a Search app called UltraSearch from this location http://www.jam-software.com/ultrasearch/
What I want to do is have the Search Button in the PA Menu launch UltraSearch instead of Windows default Search; how can I change that?

This UltraSearch is amazingly faster (I'm not touting; just discovered it); found 7903 records across two drives in 8 seconds, compared to Windows search taking 90 seconds.

I'm on Portable.Com 2.0 beta 5 pre 2 and I have thunderbird 3.1.11 installed.
Since I updated to firefox 5.0 I cannot update thunderbird anymore.

I always get this message when I check for update :

"The downloaded copy of Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition is not valid an can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issue. Please try running the updater again when complete".

What should I do ? Remove Thunderbird and reinstall ?

Here are the options when installing:

1. Platform only
2. Suite Light
3. Suite Standard
4. Custom

I have already installed the version 3.4.1 of the LibreOffice. However, with the update it is tried to instal the version 3.3.0.

This behaviour should be corrected.

I have the older (original?) launcher for my portableapps. I'd like to keep the apps I have and get the new launcher. However, the only way I see to get this is to install the suite, which comes with apps I don't want, and doesn't have the apps I *do* want. How do I get the new launcher and keep my existing apps?

PortableApps.com Platform in usb stick is running on windows 2000?

For some reason the shortcuts for like the doc. folder the music folder ect. dont work eventhough i have thoes folders on my USB. Any one know why this is
