Hello. All the software is updated. Win 10 1809 x64. Very fast computer

Today I tried the platform for the first time. (Long time user of the portable apps) I use start.exe. I downloaded a couple of apps (Foxit PDF reader, Qbittorrent) as well as copied some existing apps to the platform dir (Thunderbird, etc). All of them are in the list. I launch them from the platform from SSD. I toggled "close apps when the platform is closed".

I would love to see some sort of light/dark theme support for the Portable Apps Platform on Windows devices, in order to provide users with a more immersive and familiar, congruent experience.

The Platform throws an error message "Failed to get data for HideIcons" when opening or closing the Options dialog.

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit v2004

The problem
The PA platform's icon—which I have set in Windows to always be shown—will occasionally be relegated to the hidden icons popup window for notification area icons.

I have added the application 'Octave' to my USB (in the D:\PortableApps directory). This program does not have an .exe file to start it, the program is started with the file: octave.vbs
How do I do to get this icon in the PortableApps start menu (the "Refresh app icons" does not work for this program)?

Is portable apps only for Windows? Does it work on Mac or Linux in any way?

Is there a way I can have an "app" that just displays a fixed text message?

So for example I've been using memtest, but Windows has a better memory test built in; so I'd like to replace the memtest app with an app that just shows the instructions for testing under windows.

Similarly for other apps, so I cant just fire up eg AkelPad to show a text file. (tried it AkelPad wont launch if i change its name)
