Please add the option for the user to create their own categories.

In the file App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini> session [Details] ,
I think you could create a variable for user categories and keep the original app category to perform the updates, for example:

[Details]
; so it would be displayed in the menu
UserCategory = Video
; so is the original category
Category = Music & Video

I would like to separate my apps into more categories to make it easier to find apps visually:

I am unable to use my fonts on libreoffice portable even if they are stored when they are supposed to (X:prtableapps\portableapps.com\data\fonts)
i had to install them locally to use them.

Using Delphi 10.2.3 and trying to compile
new source i miss "Variables"
plz include in sources all "pas" files out
of the normal source.

I come from reading a lot of old topics from year 2012-2014 on this forum from people that were asking the same thing regarding the error when trying to run a portable app from Program Files folder.

First of all, let me say that I love portable apps. I recently got a USB 2.0 TB drive and I wanted to install portable apps on it. I work as a volunteer at 2 local seniors residences and for some of them, Portable Apps does just the ticket. I was wondering if the problem is the default format is exFAT? I would really love to install Portable Apps onto this thumb drive.

I would like to sync the portable apps menu with the windows start menu. This can be achieved fairly easily by searching the portable apps folders for exe files and then copy and pasting as shortcuts in a folder called "portable apps" in

%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
OR
%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

The problem is that there are potenially many exe files which you don't really want to display e.g. minidump-analyzer.exe from firefox portable.

I got the impression that I could download portable app to my stick and it would download and in stall on my stick my portable apps like openoffice, Instead I have all these .EXC files that I can not run with out getting rid of the windows security "thing : you will note I am NOT a tech.. I'm 78 and not as fast as I used to be. IF I where to use a NON windows ten computer to "install" the portable files and then transfer the 'installed" portable files to my stick would that work??

and I would need to do that with the portable app platform also?

I just installed portable apps on my flash drive and somehow the flash drive just said Portable Apps. Why does it happen? And why can´t i change it?

I'm trying to install java portable app.Platform says that it is installed,but the list on platform is still empty.
