Hey,
I found this quick, and very small p2p app the other day, and i thought it'd be perfect as a portable app.

Ares Lite is a lighter version of Ares Galaxy. It has only the basics needed for p2p.

It's very small, only 1.35MB unzipped.

I dunno much about making an app portable, as i've only been on pa.com for a little while, but as i understand it, it needs to be able to run without anything on the computer that isn't there by default. and it can't have any registry entries.

i searched my registry using regedit after installing it to my jumpdrive, and found this entry:

My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.arescol


Is there a way to get dvd copying software to copy shop DVD's as a portable app, like 123DVD COPY.

Like 1 click dvd or DVD copy tools.

Is it possible to create a Portable Mozilla Suite like the Firefox or Thunderbird? On the SeaMonkey forum site they say to just use the zip version of either SeaMonkey or the Mozilla Suite, but I do not believe it would work without puting files on the host computer.

Does aneone know how to make a "World Community Grid Agent" portable?

I have been using ThuderBird on my USB fash drive and it has worked great. However, on my computer I run POPFile -- an automatic mail classification tool. It would be great if POPFile was made portable.

why u all dont develope a sofware which will convert normal sofware to be portable..so we can convert any software or games to be portable.....hehehehe....maybe this is stupid idea sorryyyy....TQ

Would it be possible to build a portable version of a Gnutella p2p client (preferably Frostwire)?? This would be great, because I constantly travel and use multiple computers, and this way I can download without having to install and uninstall the program over and over. It would be right there in my ipod.

Could the executables be made to run on apple computers?
