I'm not too sure if MAME is portable by nature (as it seems to use relative references for locations), but it would be a great emulator to make portable.

The link above includes the original program AS WELL AS THE SOURCE CODE for anybody who wants to make P-MAME (just my nick for a portable version of MAME).

I installed miktex and TeXnicCenter. Unfortunatly got errors while trying to compile. I guess miktex does write something in the registry. It would be really cool if I could use these (I would love to know if anyone knows a workaround)

Does anyone know of any parental filtering software for web surfing that will install on portable drive and not require administrative priviledges?

I have just recently found this site and its totally awsome. But there just one program missing from it that I use all the time and its a game, called Wolfenstein Enemy-Territory, its probably the only free First Person Shooter (FPS) that I know of. It would be great if someone could make it portable.

Looks like it could be pretty handy as a PortableApp

This little soft allow users to stick "virtual" post-it on computer screen.
Do you think it could be make portable (post-it 3.1 is freeware, not the 4.0)?

Is there a portable Winamp out there? Or something else that can play Shoutcast? If not, how would I go about making one?

I would like to make folders in my usb driver more beautiful, just like what I do in my computer.
XP is able to change most icons of folders and shortcuts, but it can't be done within the usb driver.
I tried some icon-changing program, but they all need to be installed.
Does anyone know how to do it?

I would like to find a simple project management program that will run as a portable app. All I really need is to produce Gantt charts. Any Suggestions?
