Does such a thing exist?
Two apps I always use are Portable Firefox and Portable ThunderBird, both of which have switchproxy addins so on the whole I'm happy.
Every other tool I use I have to remember to change the proxy settings when I visit a new customer.
If I had a portable proxy server I could point all of my apps at it and then forget about them. When I changed customers I would just have to configure "my" proxy server and hey presto.
Is this possible/feasable ?

Anybody have an Open Source Flash Animation maker? I've got some non-portable apps that can generate flash presentations (Powerbullet) and screencams (Wink, CamStudio).
Anything out there that can be used to make or convert small animations to flash?
At school I use macs, I was wonderring if anyone knows of a potable gaim for Mac OSX if not does anyone have the equipment and talent to make it? It would really be appreciated. Also, any kind of IM Client for mac would be nice as long as it's portable.
Alot of programs can be made portable by just copy & pasting from your directory to your USB drive. Alot cannot be, but many can.
I am looking for a portable News Group Reader. Has anyone thought of that or have one?
Might i recommend or ask for a Portable IRC client? i've always loved sitting in Freenodes and chatting, but hated that you had to install it.... just a simple request...
i would like to see crimson editor on here. although its easy to just install it from the flash drive it would be nice to not have to install it then uninstall it after finishing working with it
I like to use Hamachi for my VPN needs (for connecting "securely" to VNC sessions, monitoring client uptime, etc). It doesn't appear that the application (still in beta) needs much, if any, modification in order to run portably. Being able to carry around a self-configuring VPN connection in my pocket would be great for finnicky NAT or Firewall.
Hi all!
Just wanted to ask if anybody uses any (freeware?) bandwidth monitoring tools?
At home I like Bandwidth Monitor Pro
http://www.bandwidthmonitorpro.com/
some friends use DU meter
http://www.hageltech.com/dumeter/
Don't know for sure if they are portable'able but any other alternatives would be nice to know!
