Win 10 Pro x64, Chrome portable 55. When I click a link in Thunderbird, if Chrome is already running, it always opens a new window instead of a tab. Is there any way to alter this behaviour?

I'm getting new version message when i'm using qbittorrent portable (current portableapps.com version) to upgrade to v3.3.10
Can I use the upgrade feature to update the app or shouuld I wait until portableapps.com version is released?

Latest versions of FileZilla have improved Toolbar icon routines. To speed up the icon loading (as they can now be scaled), there is a new icon cache in %LOCALAPPDATA%\FileZilla. Although the cached PNGs are of non-private nature, that behavior is not desired for a portable package.

There is a new setting in fzdefaults.xml to control the cache location.

<Setting name="Cache directory">$USERPROFILE/Documents</Setting>

This has happened once before, probably around a year or two ago. I would accept an update via PortableApps and after what appears to be a successful download and update, I went to launch Chrome and it would fail.

Further research into the cause revealed that my user account (a local admin) no longer has read access to the chrome-bin folder. I store my PortableApps folder structure within my user profile's "Documents" folder. This account, like all default user accounts, has full read/write perms to their profile's "Documents" folder.

Google Chrome Portable. Deny delete the local folder(\AppData\Local\Temp\GoogleChromePortable\) cache.

When I switch computers with ChromePortable it says:

Chrome detected that some of your settings were corrupted by another program and reset them to their original defaults.

So all my settings are lost.

What to do?

Upon upgrading from 4.4.8.2000 to the new 4.9.4.1000 I was surprised by the encounter of the total absence of the Bookmarks Bar. I rechecked all the settings and don't think I'm missing anything. The thing is, I then uninstalled it and reinstalled and right out of the box so to speak, before messing around with any settings ... it is already missing the Bookmarks Toolbar. Any insight? Is it a flawed version?
