Please, don't shout, I searched.

I was wondering about Keepass 2.x. I know that generally you can get portability of a beta or alpha app by just replacing the guts of the app. I seem to remember reading here (maybe not here) that Keepass 2.x uses .NET framework. I could be mistaken. Any answers would be appreciated.

ClamWin: Scan for but not cleaned off system

Submitted by Kurt Roesener on May 9, 2007 - 11:41am

Hello all

I ran the newest version of Portable version with updated DEFS.
It found 14 or so infected files, but there was not an option to clean infected files. I rebooted and the files are still infected.
I thought ClamWin cleaned files of the viruses?
Am I just blind and missing something?

What experiece have other run into?

Can't activate database in new ClamWin installation

Submitted by grannyGeek on May 8, 2007 - 9:17pm

( edited to add error message)

I did post this at the ClamWin forum, and they told me to come here for support "please use support forums on portableapps.com - ClamWin portable is maintained by a different team."

Installed v 90.1.1. on my usb 80 gb Firelite drive.
Using P4 running XP Pro SP2.
Upon first run of the app, I got message "You have not downloaded database . . . .". I guess to keep the portable install small, you exclude the database, so there isn't even an old one in there to start me off.

When I try to download I get this message :

Making KeePass use PortableApps Firefox as default instead of Pc (Usually IE)

Hello All

Thanks again for your contribution of this software.

I have just tried to initialise KeePass and am having a problem with it opening WinXP
IE.

  • First of my problems is I don't wish IE to have anything to do with my work, let alone my secure password info, site visits etc.
  • Second problem is I would prefer all my portable apps to default to applications within the suite.

ClamWin: Scan on File Download

Submitted by trephin on April 23, 2007 - 12:19am

I have a couple of questions.

First, does using any ClamWin components without starting from ClamWinPortable.exe cause any problems after closing? In other words, does ClamWinPortable.exe perform any cleanup tasks like MirandaPortable.exe does?

Second, I would like to use ClamWin to automatically scan received files in Miranda. I am not sure what I should enter into the command line in miranda under virus scanning... I did read a couple of posts in both this forum and the Miranda forum but was still unclear of what to use. I tried using

KeePass: Reg Files?

Submitted by Patrick Patience on April 20, 2007 - 5:42pm

With the new release, it was working fine, but I just put it on another flash drive, and I started it, and when I finish setting up a new database, it drops something like pssafe.key reg entries in the root of my drive...I tried reinstalling. No luck. I tried downloading again too...:S

It doesn't delete the entries that I can see so far even after closing KeePass.

KeePass: Thanks. 1.07

Thanks for the new version. John, you just made a small typo in your comment, it says post a not, instead of note, I'm sure you would have noticed it anyways. I haven't read anything about this, now that it's standard support for all apps, like the installing and everything, where can I find the changelog?
