ClamWin: Incorrect link...

Submitted by BvF7734 on July 25, 2007 - 3:29pm

See here for details on the downloads issue. Thread locked.

The most recent versions link on the clamwin page does not actually go anywhere. Navigating to the source and then going to all downloads worked for me to get it. This is the first time I have had any problems downloading from SF in a long time. Might want to double check that link... I have no suggestion as to a correct link though as my FFP auto selects a mirror to download from.

KeePass: keypass 1.07 - Helpfile seems corrupt

Submitted by archie-lukas on July 23, 2007 - 11:04am

Thought I'd take a quick shufty at the helpfile with v1.07

It opens, but reports the file is not available in the right-hand pain.

re-downloaded and extracted a new copy, cannot read it.

tried reading it on its own, KeePass.chm
Same thing.
Other help files do open, no problemo there!

Any chance an uncorrupted version could be posted?

Error: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

KeePass: Converter or plugin for Roboform

Submitted by zebedee on June 8, 2007 - 6:37pm

I've just loaded KeePass portable and the Apps suite onto a USB stick. Also on the stick are well over 100 Roboform passcards. Is it possible to convert them and import them into KeePass? I use Library and Internet cafe PCs fairly often and I would feel more secure if I could use the Firefox and KeePass that are on the stick. Manually converting 100 or more passcards with random passwords is just to daunting a task. Thanks zeb

ClamWin Portable Database Updater

Some people (including me) wanted to have an easy way to update their ClamWin Portable virus definitions. Today I had some spare time and I created "ClamWin PortableUpdater".
Just save it as a nsi file ihn your \PortableApps\ClamWinPortable\Other\ClamWinPortableSource folder, compile it and put the exe in your \PortableApps\ClamWinPortable\ folder. It will show up in the Menu as "ClamWin Portable Updater" and update your definitions and then exit.

Hope you like it.

ClamWin: Much Slower

Tim Clark's picture

Anybody else notice that the new version of ClamWinP takes a lot longer than the old version? The last time I ran a Full drive scan [From the Harddrive on the Harddrive] with the old version it took about 45 min. Now it takes about an hour and a half.

I'm assuming this has to do with ClamWin itself.
Anybody using the desktop version to compare to?
It seems like the skip non-executables is not working as well as before.

I currently have this set-up in my autorun.inf on my portable device:

shell\scan=Run AV Scan
shell\scan\command=PortableApps\ClamWinPortable\App\clamwin\bin\clamscan.exe --database=..\..\..\Data\db\main.cvd --remove --recursive C:\

This part

PortableApps\ClamWinPortable\App\clamwin\bin\clamscan.exe --database=..\..\..\Data\db\main.cvd --remove --recursive C:\
