KeePass: the "choose which drive database ..."

I am not sure what setting I chose, but there is now a spot that asks me to choose a drive where the database is kept. If I do not choose a drive, it shows a red x. I can still type in my password and it opens the database fine (it knows where it is) but if I choose a drive, then, the place to type in is greyed out and I have to manually then choose the database file to open.

Just wondering what others may have done to get rid of that option.

KeeForm plugin installation fails (even after necessary manual keepass upgrade to 1.08)

Submitted by flabber on September 25, 2007 - 4:31am

I have tried to install the KeeForm plugin into the present 1.07 version of KeePass, which obviously doesn't work since this is a problem with version 1.07.

This issue was solved in KeePass version 1.08, so i replaced the keepass.exe and keepass.chm files. This upgraded the Portable KeePass to version 1.08, but did not resolve the issue with KeeForm not working.

By the way if you'r not familiar with KeeForm, this is not a regular plug-in. to install one has to add a line to the keepass.ini file. My intuition says that this is somehow why i can't get KeeForm to work.

KeePass: Use Both v1 and v2?

Submitted by Bulldog on September 11, 2007 - 2:22pm

On my home computer I have .Net installed (for better or worse), therefore I can use KeePass v.2

On my computer at work .Net is not installed. So...

If I "install" v.1 on my USB drive, can I use v.2 on my home computer and v.1 on my work computer (via the USB drive)?

To give an example: If I were to add or change passwords at work, with v.1, could I 'synch' the revised password database with v.2 at home?

KeePass: Copying Key File

Submitted by Orius on September 10, 2007 - 9:00am

I usually backup my portable drive every few days using MS Synctoy. Was wondering if I will have to redo all of my stored passwords if I ever have to use the backup up files, in other words will the keyfile and password file work if they are copied to a new location? (I am thinking no).

Thanks,
Zack

ClamWin: Still doesn't work

Submitted by kiwichick on August 23, 2007 - 4:31pm

I have been trying since version 0.88.5 and I can't get the program to work because "ClamWin Antivirus has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have tried it on 3 different computers and about 7 different hard drives and the result is still the same. As my previous post made on 1 March 2007 was never replied to I am hoping that by submitting a new post I might get some help.
