Custom launcher not working in 1.5

A while ago i created some custom launcher for a project of mine. This always worked well but when I tried launching it in menu 1.5.2 it doesn't start anymore. Starting the exe from the folder does work. Is there some known compatibility problem with non-official launchers?

(Its an launcher that starts a app in a truecrypt container)

New app for NetBeans, Eclipse, Dev-C++, Xampp, PSPad

Submitted by OneTarget on March 21, 2009 - 7:55pm

I have developed an application that makes it possible to use NetBeans, Eclipse, Dev-C++, Xampp, PSPad and others. He manages these applications to make them portable and if necessary install a portable version of the launcher program, such as PSPad Portable. It is freeware, but is not open source.
Can I post here?

(The English is not my native language, sorry if there are errors :-()

What I would like to see in PAP 2.0, also

Submitted by sabur on March 20, 2009 - 7:33pm

Hello,

some suggestions:

It should be possible...

1a. to add some more folders to the PAM.

1b. to configure the path of the standard given folder (Music, Pictures, and Videos) in PAM.
Otherwise they should be also placed on the top level like the folder “Documents”.
Usage: If I e.g. synchronize music by the Media Player, the music is copied to "X:\Music".

2a. to define favourite applications, which are placed on top of the list.

2b. to search for the available application in the menu

2c. to define shortcuts. Maybe the same way it is possible to rename the application.

Adobe Flash's Local Shared Object

Submitted by infocop411 on March 19, 2009 - 9:22pm

I made this script about a month ago, I had to tweak it to also run on vista more recently, for compatibility. I have had no problems from it.

I figure it may help with the firefox launcher or at least to come up with some ideas. it is a batch script not NSIS code.

it does not care about the current directory, it does need to be on the same USB drive though.

It backs up the host computer to a folder on the flash drive, "\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\Flash Cookies\Host Cookies"
then it deletes the host's directory, "%APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player"

Making an Application portable

Submitted by SylenThunder on March 18, 2009 - 10:58am

I have an application that I run from my flash drive. It was installed on the computer originally, but run independently without installing any reg settings or otherwise. All I have done at this point is copy it over to my flash drive, and I just open the folders and run the application from there. I would really like to put it on the Launcher but have some trouble. Most applications have the executable in the main folder, and as long as I rename the other .exe files like uninstall and such that are not necessary, it works great.
