Portable App Development

I have been noticing that more and more people are getting their work accepted and posted here on this site. As a user only thank you for all of the developers and others who contribute in any way to this site.

It makes it look like a community. This is in no way taking anything from those who have started this site like John and others who I may not be aware of. It is just is real nice that others are becoming involved and following the tough guidelines that this site is known for.

I'm working on SuperTuxKart Portable (yes, PieterK is happy). To save space, I want the unTGZ plugin to extract the models and images folders (they're the biggest). But apparently it won't show any pics. I don't know if it's because it's extracting to the wrong directory, or anything else. My work so far is at:

can i get its first released version.......

One of the reasons that you can really fall in love with this site and it's programs are that they are (virtually) completely independent from the system files on whichever computer you are using, whether it is public or your own.

will the copyfiles command automatically overwrite if the same file name exists or do i have to add a switch or something to make it do that?

I think it's one of the best launchers ever because it's tiny,
simple, highly configurable, works with U3 drives and best,
it has built-in support for truecrypt-volumes .
However the dismount-function seems to be broken after truecrypt upgraded
to version 5x.
Any chance of a new version sometime or is the project officially dead ?

Ok, so mistakes happen. Heck, they do to me. But I wanted to ensure that when they happen they're done right to avoid multiple ones.

When releasing a revision, do NOT post it publicly. If you do, there's a chance someone else could grab it and post it elsewhere for download leaving us with multiple versions (one signed, one unsigned... different MD5s etc). If you want folks to test it before final release, post it as X.Y Revision 2 Pre-Release 1 the way we do with other test releases.

I Noticed in Notepad++ that there is a run feature. Well I wanted to make it launch MakeNSIS.exe in my NSIS portable folder. Is there a way to make it so that it will find the exe when the drive letter changes?

Are there going to be any updates for the SeaMonkey Launcher? What about a official Portable Apps release of InkScape?
