Firefox Portable

Hallo,

I run FF 2.0.0.5 for several weeks. Now I updated to 2.0.0.6 and now Firefox is not able to open any page. I simply get the message "Unable to connect".

I downloaded the complete software again (so without any add ons and plug ins) but the original 2.0.0.6 version downloaded has the same problem. I connect directly to the internet and thats also the setting I applied.

Strange is, that IE or thunderbird has not problem at all.

Does anyone has an idea how to solve it?

I am connected to the internet now via IE.

Using FF portable from work, can't sign in to gmail, yahoo mail, flickr, etc... Also, Thunderbird won't get my gmail. I had to change my proxy setings to get FF to work, but it still won't get any secure webpages. I can sign on to portapps though. Thoughts?

I have a problem installing the AI Roboform Toolbar for Firefox Extension from the mozilla site. Every time I try to install this extension I've got the following error message:

Invalid file hash (possible download corruption) -261

Using the standard Firefox installation there are no problems installing it. Does anyone have idea or solution to the problem?

That is due to the addition of the registry.nsh (the NSIS Plugin) which handles the reg key.
It creates a folder in C:\docs&settings\username\local settings\Temp\
and in that folder there is the registry.dll
I think John forgot to add
${registry::Unload}
to the Launcher. At least all the launchers that have the registry plugin have this line and the new FF Launcher doesnt have it.

I didn't install Firefox right away after downloading it but saved it to the flash drive. From Portable Apps I click on "Explore" then click on the PAF executable gets about 1/10th done and runs into errors saying certain files (such as Firefox.EXE) can't be found. I'm installing to the default directory and not running Firefox.

Think I need to erase my existing Firefox directory and start fresh?

Although I very much like portable, it is too slow for me. I have tried all the speed up tricks and still not happy. How do I move my highly customized portable settings from portable to local? I work daily on a home and office PC, so once I do this is there an add on that will allow me to sync all settings, or just bookmarks. Thank you. Jeff Ruday.

I've got problems with Firefox portable plugins on computers without shockwave, quicktime etc. installed, because the plugins doesn't work. I solved only the problem with flash plugin - I copied file NPSWF32.dll, which has about 2MB, from opera plugins directory to my firefox, and now the Flash works also on computers without flash installed. But I can't solve the problem with other plugins. Any idea?

I'm trying to retreive an ISimpleDOMNode pointer from elements in the Firefox page,
but i've got the following error message (0x80040155 : Interface not registered).
I need it in order to pase the page using accessibility.

It does work with the normal version of Firefox.

Does anybody got an idea on that ?
