Upx Firefox saves 4MB
Most other apps have been 'upxed', but firefox.exe not.
Using upx -9 PortableFirefox\App\firefox.exe saves 4mb with no performance issue as I see it).
Tried it too with thunderbird.exe but somehow it doesn't work ok.

In PFF, there is a folder called \Data\profile\bookmarkbackups.
PFF writes bookmark backups in it. How can I turn off this function?
While Firefox is loaded, every so often it will write to the USB drive for a few seconds, this happens if I'm actively using firefox or its an inactive window. While it is writing to the drive, firefox is completed unresponsive and unsuable. Cache is disabled, there are no extensions or plugins installed.
Any ideas?
cheers,
Ciaron.
Q1: If the cache is set to 0, or is disabled, where does the content go?
Q2: Why have a low cache setting if it means constant rewrites to stay under quota?
Q3: Is there constant rewriting with a cache that is disabled or set to 0?
Hi there.
For some reason PFF lost the right side vertical scroll bar.
Sites can be scrolled with mouse wheel.
I've checked out settings, but everything seems to be ok...at least afaik

I have tried to download video from a site, but it downloads as a "cgi". What am I doing wrong? And how can I fix it?
Can't we use browser.cache.disk.enable=false instead of browser.cache.disk.capacity=0 ?
Are there portable language packages for portable firefox? From time to time I need to use the computers that I don't have enough authority for it. But there is no appropriate language pack installed on those computers. The result is that some webpages with foreign languages cannot be displayed correctly. I am wondering if there are portable language packages available for portable firefox.
I've read a few different posts about this problem, but the ones I've seen just tell you to restart firefox through Taskmanager. Whenever I close portable firefox, and make sure that it's not running in Tskmngr, it STILL will not recognized that it has been restarted. Even when I unplug my flash drive and replug it in, it will not install my extensions. Does anyone know what I need to do? Reinstall PFF? Or is it a glitch?
