Everytime i try to deactivate xul cache it reenables automatically on restart. I cannot deactivate it, so everytime it creates the XUL.mfl of nearly 2 MB.
everytime i try to set the "nglayout.debug.disable_xul_cache" line to "true" (via about:config or editing prefs.js) pFF changes it back to false.
This used not to happen with 1.0.x
Any way to turn it off for good in 1.5?
My extensions in pff:
Hey i just love the portable stuff very, how you say, cool.
But why is firefox 1.5 not compressed?
Cheers
Since upgrading to Portable Firefox 1.5, I have not been able to open links in Firefox by clicking on them in Portable Thunderbird. How do I regain that functionality? Did I have an extension installed that I forgot I was using? Or do I need to do a quick registry hack to fix this problem?
I copied the 1.6a1 directory structure into the my Portable Firefox structure and aside from having to reset some extension settings everything seems to be working fine.
Will this cause any problems?
Am I truely running portably in this configuration or does this configuration cause some data to be written to other locations?
Thanks
In an effort to further integrate Portable Firefox with my OS theme, I made my own splashscreen by modifying the original located here:
/portablefirefoxcode/PortableFirefox.jpg.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. The new one is the same dimension, color depth, format, etc. as the original; but everytime I launch I see the original splashscreen.
I searched through all the directories and I couldn't find where in the heck it was still getting the original splashscreen from (It was deleted after I backed it up on the local HD).
Weird.
Anyone?

Is there anyway I can run (concurrently) a copy of Portable Firefox (any version) and also run Mozilla* Firefox (any version) together in the same session?
For instance, right now I have Portable Firefox v1.07 loaded. I want to load up Mozilla Firefox v1.5. When I click on the icon for Mozilla Firefox v1.5, it just loads up another window of Portable Firefox v1.07 instead.
1) What gives?
2) Does this have to do with having the same window title (name)? If so, back then sometime long ago, I ran across some sort of extension which generated a random window title upon startup, but I can not seem to find it. Anyone know what I am talking about?
I love FF, but it can take up to a minute for it to load. Now that I've started to use PFF (1.5 as well), it is taking way too long to load. First several time I thought it was stuck, and used Task Manager to stop End Task.
Why is it taking so long to load? Both FF & PFF.
Thanks
Is the person who developed the cross-platform launcher for PFF available on this forum? Or anyone who knows Macs better than i do? I'm having an issue...
