Firefox Portable Cookies Location? Keep cookies in CCcleaner?

Submitted by FirefoxFan on June 27, 2013 - 10:53am

I'm trying to use Ccleaner to clear junk but I don't want any cookies removed from any browser. In the Applications tab there's no option to keep Firefox cookies probably because Firefox is portable (it's in my X drive partition) and not installed.

In the Options, Cookies menu it seems that every time I use the program if there are new cookies since I last used it, I need to select them and move them to the "Cookies to Keep" section. I don't want to have to do that. Isn't there a way to automatically prevent any cookies from being deleted?

After upgrading to FF 22.0 - Google sites crash due to a Javascript error

Hi,

Yesterday I upgraded from FF 21 to FF 22.0 right upon its release. At once, I started to receive a Javascript error in every Google site I use. It says:

Error: Illegal operation on WrappedNative prototype object

It is not a problem with Google, or at least not one that arises when browsed with Chrome or FF 12.0, which are my desktop browsers.

It is most probably a problem the guys in FF will have to solve soon. In the mean time, I wonder if there is a way for us using PortableApps to revert the installation and go back to FF 21.0.

Regards

After upgrading to FF 22.0 - RoboForm2Go wont work

Submitted by SuperPortableMan on June 25, 2013 - 9:35pm

Hello,

I have under several years successful used FF with RoboForm 2Go application. Now, RoboForm 2Go doesn't show on it's usual place as Toolbar under Favorites.

Furthermore following error shows when I want to execute it in FF:

-----------

Can not attach to browser 'firefox.exe:22.0.0.4917'.

The browser is not natively supported or incompatibile with RoboForm. You need to install RoboForm add-on into your browser...

-----------

I have installed add-on into FF for RoboForm, but it doesn't work.

Is this something at FF side or RoboForm?

Problem updating/installing Firefox Portable 22 over Firefox Portable 21

Submitted by OldF__t on June 25, 2013 - 4:57pm

This is my first post here.

I have been using Firefox Portable for some time. I have Firefox Portable 21 installed and have been using it since its release (and have used portable since version 15 or so). I have always updated over the top of the previous version with not problems until now. What I have experienced and my attempts to resolve:
*downloaded Firefox 22 Portable to hard drive as usual
*closed all browsers
*ran install and received error, "Folder not valid, choose valid folder in Program Files or a sub-folder" (or similar)

New Firefox Portable installation keeps writing to my hard drive

I just installed the portableapps platform and then firefox portable to an external drive. Per instructions here, i then ran firefox portable once, closed it, copied/replace the contents of my existing firefox profile folder on my computer to the firefox portable profile folder, deleted the FirefoxPortableSettings.ini in the firefox portable "settings" folder, and re-opened portable firefox.

Having problems with Windows Vista and 7

I mainly use FF Portable in the library. It's great, I can save all my bookmarks and plugins ready to be used as the library deletes everything when you log out. I noticed that it did not work too well on my vista machine at home but this is not a problem as I have Firefox on that one and don't use it that often. One of the libraries have updated from Windows XP to Windows 7. It still works but often freezes up and I can't manage to stream radio through it. I have not tried any of the other portable apps on the machines but the port app platform seems to work ok.

Flash under Linux?

Submitted by darkstar on May 26, 2013 - 9:52pm

Seeing as how people are experience troubles with Flash under Windows, I am almost afraid to ask... I am running FirefoxPortable 21 under Linux, and getting an error message saying my Flash plugin is out of date and is being disabled. Sure enough, no Flash is working on websites that use it. My question is how do I install the Flash plugin for Firefox under Linux. I tried downloading the Flash executable for Windows and running it under Wine, but it hung on me and was unable to complete.
