Firefox Portable

Since I have updated Flash to the latest version (11.3.300), I repeatedly get my browser frozen for around a minute or more, then it warns about some script working too long. When I open System Explorer and stop or restart plugin-container.exe, the browser is brought back to life again - until it stumbles upon another script...

I am not sure whether it's Flash plugin or the way FF 13 handles it - either way, I decided to switch to Chrome until this problem is solved.

until recent version, it was possible to set ff to clear the dl list automatically when downloads are finished. it seems it's no longer possible to do that without disabling the browsing history. OR IS IT?

have always used DMR (DropMyRights) to start
Firefox Portable, never any problems

now once the upgrade to 13.0 has been made,
the program will not run, get the message,

"Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded.
It may be missing or inaccessible."

re-install 12.0 and everything works fine

any insight into this is appreciated

When I finally extract the very latest .paf file for the version 11.3.300.257 and when I check the file version for NPSWF32.dll it says 11.2.202.235.

Surely it should be showing the later version as per it's description on portable apps?

Is this an error?

I am developing a web site which starts from a read-only USB Flash drive, by using Portable Firefox.

Can I disable the read-only confirmation message in some way?

If the answer is no, can I modify the message at least?

I need your help guys to solve a problem with app tabs: Once I have pinned a tab (as app tab), it does appear when I open a instance of Firefox portable.

However, if i open another instance of Firefox (without having closed the first one), the pinned tab does not show. Worst, If the instance of Firefox that does not have the pinned tab is closed last, the app tab will not show when I open Firefox again.

Anyone has an idea how to make app tabs work? I guess that having all instances of Firefox to show the pinned tabs is what I am aiming for.

For some reason I don't understand, when I go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Mozilla%20Firefox%2C%20Portable%20Ed./Mozilla%20Firefox%2C%20Portable%20Edition%2013.0/, I cannot select either FirefoxPortable_13.0_English.paf.exe or FirefoxPortable_13.0_EnglishGB.paf.exe. I can select any of the others. Unfortunately, I only read/write in English.

what is the recommended or best cache size limit for firefox portable 13 whose folder is located not on a flashdisk but on hdd?
is it best to leave it as is which is automatic cache management?
or is it better to limit the cache size to something like 50 MB, 100 MB, 250 MB, etc?
got big enough hdd and free space & broadband connection.
please don't bother to say "what suits your needs is the best!" or something like that.
