After closing, "parent.lock" file is not deleted. it's still staying profile folder. Shouldn't have it been deleted?
I was using the Firefox beta 13 for a while so I thought that maybe the function was not working as like being still tested.
New tab is now supposed to show you 'thumbnails' of web pages like Opera.
Updated portable Firefox 12 to 13 today and that feature still shows blank thumbnails.
I have installed normal (not portable) copy of Firefox 13 also updated from normal Firefox 12 and the new tab feature shows the thumbnails.
Any other user of Firefox portable 13 seeing this (or not seeing - ha ha)?
Happy days,
Hugh
Where is bookmark file, as I need to add it to an exclude listing for a program I am using.
hi
firefox seems to store stuff at "C:\Documents and Settings\[myUserName]\Application Data\Mozilla"
is that suppose to happen ? should any portable app store stuff under my "Application Data" folder ?
these are the folder there:
C:\Documents and Settings\[myUserName]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox
C:\Documents and Settings\[myUserName]\Application Data\Mozilla\Extensions
C:\Documents and Settings\[myUserName]\Application Data\Mozilla\Extensions-BackupByFirefoxPortable
Mozilla is moving to silent updates of the browser, pushed automatically in the backround. How will this impact Portable Firefox?

Lets say I have Thunderbird Portable and Firefox Portable. Both works fine. At least when both apps are running. When I click links (www.justexample.com) in Thunderbird it calls another FFoxPortable window. Great. When I click a file test.html on my desktop - it works the same way.
Now, I shut down FireFoxPortable. Click again test.html on my desktop or www.justexample.com in external application. Firefox opens, but bypassing "portable" loader and I got wrong profile.
To day I noticed, that when I open portable firefox 12, the plugins are used by this, hat is OK.
However, when I close the portable firefox properly, the plugins should be given back to the local installed one.
But this does not happen and all remains disabled in the local firefox until I reboot.

I do not remamber to have had this problem earlier.
any flash content will run for a couple seconds and then firefox freezes, if the content has audio the audio will continue to play for quite a while after. terminating plugin-container.exe makes firefox responsive again and produces the standard crashed plugin message.
if i restart in safe mode all flash content works fine, but if i just disable every addon myself it does the same freezing thing. i cant figure this out, any help?
im using the latest firefox and flash.
Does anyone have issues with persistence of SSL certificates imported into portable Firefox for use with internal sites (to not need to accept certificates each time visit internal site)?
I notice it doesn't seem to persist compared to regular FF installation, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.
