Keep splash screen longer visible

Submitted by HugoSeppel on April 16, 2007 - 7:20am

Hi,

I wonder if there is an easy way to keep the splash screen longer visible. On my slow laptop, there are about 30 seconds time between the disappearance of the splash screen and the start of FireFox. So when I don't look on the HDD led I don't know if there is still action going on. The perfect solution for me would be, if the splash screen disappears just when FireFox starts independent of the speed of the computer.
Another solution could be, that after the splash screen disappears, something else is shown on the screen.

Huh?

There seems to be a bug in the FFP launcher. If the license page is shown and the profile directory is empty, the launcher will ask twice if you want to create a profile. Once before the license agreement is shown, and once after you agree to it.

By the way, this same bug exists in the TBP launcher.

I'll tell you everything I can. I'm running Firefox Portable 2.0.0.3 on a 60 gigabyte Maxtor external hard drive. The computer has Windows 2000. What happens is that Firefox suddenly starts using 95-99 percent of the cpu's capacity. Eventually, it returns to normal, but everything on the page is selected. Does anybody know what's going on?

No add-ons, no themes, no Firefox

Hi!
I have two Firefox Portable v.2.0.0.3 in different flash drives which i use in different computers, one of them doesn't show up (in Task Manager appears functioning among the Processes but not among the Applications), and the another though it have installed 12 add-ons it shows as when i downloaded it, that is, the default.
Does anyone know the reasons for such a behavior? Thanks a lot.

FirefoxPortable.ini Not Working

Submitted by swestmoreland on April 11, 2007 - 5:23am

I cannot get FirefoxPortable to interpret my FirefoxPortable.ini directives.
I have searched the forums for a working solution but nothing yet has worked. I'm using Windows XP and the default installation of Firefox_Portable_2.0.0.3_en-us.paf.exe.

I've tried the version available online at:
https://portableapps.com/downloads/app_extras/firefox_portable/live/FirefoxPortable.ini

and I've also tried the version in the FirefoxPortableSource folder.

Here is my FirefoxPortable.ini:

Themes not working with pFF

Hi! I'm aware that answers have ostensibly been given in this forum to the question I'm about to ask but having tried the suggestions I'm still stuck, so here goes. I too am having problems getting my themes to work for my pFF.

I download one from addons.mozilla.com, it will show up in 'All-in-One Sidebar' with a message to restart Firefox to complete installation. I then click 'Use Theme', again I am invited to restart, which I do and I'm still left with the default theme.

I think.. Smile

I am having some problems recently on my web site displaying some flash/shockwave files produced by the gallery software "Porta". IE version 7 displays everything fine.

I have PFF version 2.0.0.3. I went to Adobe/Macromedia site using PFF and on the test page it showed Shockwave was not installed. When I tried to install it, it said finished and installed, but upon closing that window, an error windows message said :

windows cannot find U:\PORTAB~1\APP\FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE
