from my existing pff into the new one to keep things like extensions, bookmarks etc.
(I guess this would appy for each occasion where the new version isn't "upgraded" but is a new install)
I downloaded Java form http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
chose manual install and change it to L:\Program Files\FirefoxPortable\Apps\firefox\plugins It installed and runs fine on my home comp but as soon as i try it in College it says that the plugin is not installed.
In College the Drive letter is E:\ not L:\ could that have any effect on java?
is so any suggestions? also i cant install Java from College couse i dont have Admin privleges.
Hello ,
Our Institute for Quality Development in Schools (IQSH), Schleswig-Holstein plans to distribute a free portable software collection for teachers and pupils. This collection will include a lot of free/Open Source software which is pre-configured for our teachers and pupils in Northern Germany.
We ask you kindly if it’s ok to place the latest version of Thunderbird and Firefox (in a pre-configured form) in this package on our servers for public download. Of course we would place a link to your official homepage and a big “Thank You”.
Pre-configured just means: Germann Language and some bookmarks in Firefox.
In Firefox it is possible to set multiple homepages using the | symbol. It is also possible to allow a user to have multiple homepages stored locally using this setting. Firefox Portable however currently only loads one local homepage, the rest it interperates as an http: address. Just a small gripe there's probably just a handful of users that would use multiple tiddly wikis' and whatnot.
First of all, I think this portable firefox is a good software for many of us.
I know we are allowed to update firefox, but are we allowed to install any extension, themes to our portable firefox as well? Thanks.

Hello everybody.
Do somebody has a multilingual or spanish version for FireFox Portable?
Thanx for your help
I am using Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6 for my application, and it is working very well, so-far. Currently, the only way to bookmark a frame is a mouse-right-click within a frame and select "This Frame-Bookmark This Frame" menuitem.
Now, here is my challenge: I want to bookmark a frame from the Bookmarks menu. This implies I customize the "Bookmarks-Bookmark This Page" to actually bookmark a FRAME and NOT the FRAMESET. It currently bookmarks the frameset even when you invoke it from a frame.
How can I duplicate the functionality of "This Frame-Bookmark This Frame" mouse-right-click menuitem in "Bookmarks-Bookmark This Page" menubar item? I am currently working on addBookmarkForBrowser() function in browser.js, without any success so-far.
I've just installed FFP on my external hard drive and when I run it, every web page i open "hops". It's difficult to explain, but it's like the whole page moves down a few pxls and moves up the same few pxls imiddiately after, after this it does it again, so it keeps hopping. I'ts kinda annoying
Anyone knows this bug (?) or how to solve it?
Thanks in advance!
