FirefoxPortable_3.6.7_PortugueseBR.paf.exe not working.
Firefox's use of sqlite, when multiple instances are running, bogs down the network drive. I'd like to disable all features that use it.
Hello, I search a web drive hosting allowing to execute firefox portable (like a usb key) on live (without downloading it to the hard disk).
Something very minor, but I have Firefox 3.6.6 in the {Drive}\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable folder and Firefox 4.0 B1 in {Drive}\PortableApps\FirefoxPortableTest folder and they both show up as "Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition".
For now, easy enough to workaround: hover mouse over both to see which one is which.
Hi gang,
I am having trouble getting a second instance of FF to run, I have set the .ini file appropriately and it's being read as the splash screen is now disabled but I can not get a second instance to run.
Here's the strange part, with my Task Manager up I start another instance of FF and I can see the second copy listed for about three seconds then it goes away, almost as if it's told to terminate, no error messages or warnings of any kind. I read several other posts concerning the .ini file but nothing that lead me to a resolution.
hello
when i double-click a local html file, the filename incorrectly gets incorrectly changed to the old dos 8-character naming, and spaces are treated as separate files.
for example, if i double-click a local file called:
C:\Users\john\Documents\Clients\Jeffrey\Footprints\Walking Tour\avatar\googleMapsAPItest.html
firefox portable opens the following two tabs:
file:///C:/Users/john/DOCUME~1/Clients/Jeffrey/Footprints/Walking
http://www.tour.com/avatar/googleMapsAPItest.html
how can i fix this?
Downloaded a few portable apps yesterday; McAfee told me there was a trojan in the Firefox portable installer. Did the same with VLC, but I see various security scanners have wrongly tagged that too. Anyone else?
I was exploring PortableFreeware.com and I found this:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?p=2&so=p (scroll down to see the Firefox Portable section)
It says
Stealth: No. By default, crash files are created in the %APPDATA%Mozilla directory. To make stealth, edit \App\Firefox\application.ini and replace:
[Crash Reporter] Enabled=1 ServerURL=https://crash-reports.mozilla.com/submitwith:
[Crash Reporter] Enabled=0 ServerURL=https://crash-reports.mozilla.com/dontsubmit MOZ_CRASHREPORTER_DISABLE=1
I have been using Firefox portable 1.5.0.3 with winXP sp2 for some years, now. It always worked fine.
Last week, I got a virus from a streaming page. I knew it was a malware because of the sudden lag i experimented. I had to force the closing of Portable Firefox. I think I have got rid of the virus manually (CPU usage normal, network requests normal).
Hello,
Checking plugins and extensions for updates on FF 3.6.6
I found that FlashPlayer was "vulnerable" so I clicked
and ended up with an Adobe Download Manager installed in
my Firefox plugins. After restarting several times this
plugin disappeared and I could not find it in any file
directory either. I wonder what that was, a bad download
from Adobe possibly ? The program works OK as well with
the same FlashPlayer.
Everything else updated OK, Java 6.0.20, etc. and everything
otherwise works and looks good.
