Is there a way to remove Run Locally Dialog box.

Submitted by dasunsameera on June 10, 2010 - 2:24am

Please help me to remove below dialog box when FFP run on a CD-ROM. I need to compile multimedia application with your FFP into a CD-ROM. (I think This dialog box is disturbing users.)

---------------------------
Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition | PortableApps.com

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition appears to be running from a location that is read-only. Would you like to temporarily copy it to the local hard drive and run it from there?

Bug that loses Bookmarks

Submitted by Tony_B on June 9, 2010 - 7:12am

Hi,
I've FireFox set up as my default web browser. When I get an email with a hyperlink, and click that link to open FireFox, when it opens up, I don't see my bookmarks and it doesn't fill in any passwords for me. I have to close and re-open FireFox the normal way to get these.

Cheers,

Tony

Another instance of Firefox is already running

Submitted by ppps on June 9, 2010 - 3:16am

I need to run 2 separate instances of Firefox portable, because I need to login to the same online app with 2 different accounts. I have tried the addon cookiepie to manage per-tab cookies, but it has unbearable side effects.

So I installed 2 instances of firefox portable, but when I launch the 2nd instance, I get this message. What is the work around?

FFP on CD with PDF Support

Submitted by knolle on June 7, 2010 - 12:00pm

Hi folks,

I tried to launch a project on CD with FFP, a HTML-Site as navigation and the corresponding PDF-Files for all the data.

How to I get the FFP to open .pdf in a local (means on CD) portable PDF-Reader such as foxit or sumatra...??

On my PC it works well, but as soon as I switch the computer, it says that it cannot find the path for the supporting program...

Thanks,

Knolle

Bookmarks disappear

Submitted by Airazz on May 31, 2010 - 5:24pm

I have a bunch of bookmarks in Firefox Portable. One of them keeps disappearing. I mean, I connect the USB, launch the software, open Firefox and the link is missing. I add it, it works. But just until I close the Firefox. If I open it, the link is missing again. It kept happening with one particular link (I think it was tinyurl.com website), now it's another perfectly normal, usual link. All other themes and pug-ins work fine. I have plenty of empty space on my USB. What is the problem?

CD drive number issue - again

Submitted by dmagill on May 26, 2010 - 2:08pm

I apologize for bring this up again... and possibly again... and yet again

I have a educational CD going out to some pretty extreme places. Most have no Internet, so your FFP is a great product and it was easy to setup with Flash.

Currently I am working off a jump drive. I followed the CD creation steps, and have burned a CD, in both instances I run into the drive letter issue.
