browser.sessionstore.enabled doesn't exist anymore

Submitted by scoubidou57 on July 13, 2010 - 5:24pm

Hello,

Since Firefox 3.5 this preference is superseded with setting browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo to 0.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.sessionstore.enabled
Should add this to in the page https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#performance

FFP with Adobe Shockwave Plugin

Submitted by chrisr on July 2, 2010 - 11:31am

Hello Everyone,
has anyone managed to get things working with the FFP3.3.6 and an actual(e.g. 11.5.7.609) Adobe Shockwave installation?
Every guide, tutorial,... is obsolete - neither the dll(np32dsw.dll) alone does work, nor if I extract every single file in the full shockwave installation into the plugin folder.

Any ideas would be appreciated! (beside the obvious "normal installation" on the host system)

Thank you in advance.

FF 3.6.6 loaded over Portable app FF 3.0.15

Submitted by dford3772 on July 1, 2010 - 7:26pm

I did a very dumb thing by upgrading on the app itself. Now the firefox icon
on my Platform still says 3.0.15 BUT when I open FF the copy says 3.6.6.
Everything works but doubt if I should leave things in this mess. Surely I did
not load a full sized copy but that is what it appears even though it is buried
in the portable app.

What is the simplest thing I can do without losing all my data?

Where is the Temp Folder?

Submitted by blackzoeops on June 30, 2010 - 7:20am

Hi,

It's been less than a week that I am using the portable version of firefox (3.6.6). Now I am wondering how the hack did I live without it!

But the portability has created some problems from me. Back in the old days I always fiddled with the files in firefox temp folder. I know it's lame and old fashioned, but it has already saved my ass more times than I feel comfortable to admit.

I have been all over the folders to find it, but yet remained unsuccessful.

Anybody care to help?
