Firefox Portable

John, you could have warned us.........

About FF v89 that it was a major UI change, a major cock-up IMHO.
For the past few years, after the last UI change and it was working well up to v.88 I was using Aris' userChrome.css tweak to keep my tabs below
the address bar {no Bookmarks bar, turned off in the drop-down} from over at GitHub.
Now v89 has destroyed it and over at mozzillazine guys like me are scrambling to try to find ways of fixing it.
It seems that the silent majority, me included, like our tabs on the bottom and Mozilla themselves is not listening.

another instance of firefox is already running

Submitted by novw on May 10, 2021 - 7:08am

Another update. another F-up. Every time I try to open a (web-)link from an outside program (mail, excel, ...) I get a popup telling me "another instance of firefox is already running. Please close other instances of firefox before launching mozilla firefox, portable edition". If I completely ignore the popup (=leave it open), en click the SAME link a second time, it is opened in firefox portable. But that requester remains open till I click it . So: opening a weblink is now a "please click three times, because FF does not like users" thing? Any solution ideas?

FirefoxPortable on Windows 10?

I am using FirefoxPortable v88. This works perfectly under Windows 7 but when the same flash drive is started using Windows 10 64-bit I receive the following message:

"You've launched an older version of Firefox
Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox.

Firefox portable has problems with some authority's certificate

For example https://sede.mjusticia.gob.es/es/
That's the Spanish Government's Ministry of Justice website. While trying to load the browser finds a certificate but it spits SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER and the web won't go HTTPS.

I guess this won't be the only official website that has this problem.
