Cookies expiring

Submitted by surma884 on May 13, 2009 - 9:22pm

My FFP updated last week and I have 3.0.10. After that upgrade my cookies keep on getting deleted. I will select remember me when logging into any site. If I close FF and open it back up it does not remember me. It happens with Gmail, Yahoo, and all sites that use cookies. My cookie setting is set to "keep until they expire". This is pissing me off... for all the sites I goto I have too login every time. Sad

There is a service in MSN protocol that can login you into e-mail acount with
you pass if you are logged in MSN/WLM AND Miranda MSN Protocol. FF Portable is the
default browser so when i click on "Hotmail" service in Miranda MSN, FF Portable try to log in with long url in adders bar but it constantly asking me for password even if I'm logged into MSN. Cheeking "Remember my username and password" don't

Firefox restrictions affecting performance

Hi, I've been using the PortableApps software for long time, and have enjoyed nearly every minute of it. Though one error has kept me wishing Firefox was easier to manage. I typically use 3 different computers on a daily basis, and have admin rights only on the first one, my home computer. Now this isn't typically a problem, as I can install Portable Apps from all 3 of them. What is my problem is Firefox's inability to be used on any more than one.

Startup Problem

Submitted by eluc on May 6, 2009 - 9:36am

Hi,
I updated 3.0.9 to 3.0.10.
I forgot PortableFirefox open, so the installer ask me to close any istances.
I did so and pushed again "install".
After the installation, Firefox doesn't start anymore. I see the startup logo, but nothing else.
I installed a fresh copy, but nothing changes.
Does something controlled by the running instance during update prevent FF to start again?
Somebody can help me?
Thanks

Updating by new install

Well, due to some issue, users are recommended
to update Portable Firefox by new installation.
But which directory should be selected during update installation?
Portable Apps->Firefox Portable?
Or some other in the pen-drive directory tree?

By default Portable Firefox installation selects "\FirefoxPortable"
as the installation folder. What is the root of this path?
To the pen-drive's root? Or C:\Program Files?
What if more than one pen-drives are mounted?

Installing Firefox Portable

Hello,

I am receiving an error message when trying to install Firefox_Portable_3.0.10_en-us.paf.exe onto my USB drive. I specify the usb drive as the installation location and after a short time installing the following error message is received:

"Error opening file for writing"
"G:\Firefox Portable\App\DefaultData\Profile\bookmarks.html"

I receive similar error messages for:

- localstore.rdf
- mimetypes.rdf
- Firefox portable setting.ini

If I ignore these messages and continue the installation FP doesn't work.
