Quick question please! How can I stop the Add-Ons window from popping up when Firefox starts?

It keeps launching because of locally installed add-ons (such as Realplayer)...

Hi I read that the latest version of Firefox supports relative path names. I am able to access an .html file no problem using an absolute path (file://c:/whatever)

I was wondering how to form an absolute path in the url box, and a nice thing to know was if Firefox has any predefined paths I can take advantage of.

Hello, I am using Firefox Portable on my USB-key for quite some time now, it's great. I have a TrueCrypt volume on that USB-key as well, and I was thinking of moving the FirefoxPortable folder into that volume for added security.

- Can I just move the folder into the volume, or should I reinstall to the volume?
- Has anyone had any troubles with Firefox Portable running off a mounted TrueCrypt volume?

I recently discovered that Firefox Portable is not allowing me to save bookmarks at all. What could be a reason for this problem?

Firefox splash screen appears, then dissapears but the browser doesn't appear.
I reinstalled the Firefox portable app and it is still the same. I am currently running on a Windows XP PC and the portable app is on a portable hard drive. This previously worked fine on this PC and another (Vista) PC yeasterday using the same portable drive.
Portable Apps version is 1.5.2, Firefox 3.0.8
I had a number of Add-Ons in Firefox and these worked OK.
Other portable apps start and work as expected.
I hope someone can help me with this.

Hi, I found a way to make firefox portable virtually lagless. I'm not sure if this has been already suggested, but you can just make a batch file to copy it to a temporary directory, and then run it on the hard drive. Then, when you're done, you can copy to back to your USB drive.

Here is one I made:

XCOPY /E /Q FirefoxPortable %temp%\FFXP

I'm setting up a new Firefox Poratable app on a flash drive and want to make sure that I do so correctly using a local profile other than the default.

Using the instructions on the site, I determined where to look for the Local Profile and found as I suspected two. One of course is called the Default and the other is one which I'll call "Enhanced Basic". I tried copying this profile previously into another flash drive but it did not appear to take.

My Firefox add-ons (extensions and themes) have disappeared from the browser. They are all still listed as installed in the add-ons box under the Tools menu, but none of them are usable. All of my bookmarks are present, so I don't think I've completed deleted my profile. Any ideas? Thanks.

I think Firefox portable would be a lot faster if it had the option to use a directory of the current computer for the cache, for example, %TEMP%\FirefoxPortable. This folder would be deleted after Firefox was closed.

I put in a USB stick, Portable Firefox 3.xx.

I started Windows PE 2.1, suitable to work with 64-bit operating systems, and I tried to start Firefox Portable writing, from the directory of that program, the command FirefoxPortable.exe but the shell of Windows PE writes "Could not execute the specified program ". Why?
