With the 38.0.1 update has stopped working IRC accounts
I have been using TBportable for 8 months now on both a French XP SP3 32bits and a English W8.1 32bits without problems.
Then I tried to use it on my new French W7 64bits computer and a French W8.1 64bits one and I have problems: Some of the folders containing mails do not show on the left side directory tree of the program. The folders and mails are always on the USB stick but they simply do not appear. When I run again TB portable on one of my 32bits systems they re-appear...
The same TB portables ran on 2 different English W7 64bits computers without problem ....!!
Hi,
I am put ThunderbirdPortable into D:\Progs\Thunderbird
All my files will be saved in Data/profile, Data/plugins, Data/setting folders now.
How i can replace folder for all settings/profile/mails/plugins to other disk (C:, F: ... not D!).
in Source/ThunderbirdPortable.ini i can use onle *relative* path. Why not absolute path?
Hello
I started using the Portable version to make sure it worked OK.
After two weeks, I'm happy with it and ready to move to the standard version, ie installed in Windows through the installer.
How do I move data from the Portable version to the standard version without losing anything, including settings?
Thank you.
Hi. New here and have reviewed open topics quickly but no joy.
I have ThunderbirdPortable working nicely on both GMail and another (Shaw) webmail account, loaded on a large capacity brandname USB thumb/flash drive.
After finishing my email work, and Closing/Exiting TBP, I cannot safely eject my USB drive ('busy', close open apps, etc.).
If I am working in the PortableApps alone (including installs/updates to apps) without opening and closing TBP, I can safely eject my USB drive ('safe to eject hardware').
It was sort of great to try an email client, but I got tired of folders that didn't sync with my hotmail account very well, and the two addons for threaded view and an system tray notification which seemed to wreck the experience.
Can someone please recommend a good portable email client?
I have asked this question on Mozilla Forum but never got a reply. When I navigate away from the inbox, for example to write an email I often find it difficult to get back to the inbox. Sometimes I have to close Thunderbird down and relaunch to continue work, at other times I just happen to land on a button that takes me back. I suspect this is just a simple thing that I have missed out on somehow. What is the straightforward way to get back to the inbox?

After the most recent update Thunderbird portable will not open. Instead, I get an error message:
XUL Runner
Error: Platform version '31.6.0' is not compatible with
minVersion >=31.7.0
maxVersion
Update:
Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition 31.7.0
After installation and open the software, it display that this is a daily build.
I've noticed that Thunderbird Portable can sometimes leave behind an empty Extensions folder within APPDATA\Mozilla when installing certain extensions and restarting the current release of Thunderbird. This bug is noted and will be addressed in the next release.
