Thunderbird Portable

I am moving my OUTLOOK mail etc. to TBird on a new desktop with multiple drives and partitions. I will point TBird to store its data on a separate partition and will setup a share on the folders. I think I can make all of that work OK.

After upgrading to 2.0.0.23 Thunderbird portable crashes when trying to reply / forward a message.
OS is Win XP Pro SP3.
Thunderbird is installed on a memory stick with enough free capacity.
Detailled information about the crash might be included in the 45k big file file df6b_appcompat.txt which is mentioned in the error message.
How should I submit the information included in the file?

What is the problem with TB?

I just got a prompt to upgrade my TBP to the latest version and of course I did as I am told only to find all my emails were wiped and TBP asking if I wanted to set up my email accounts.

That's naughty.

Good thing I back up my emails regularly.

Anyone else had this experience or was i just unlucky?

Thunderbird doesn't seem to be able to see my profile anymore, all the emails,addy book and andall are still inthe folders. But when TB loads itwants to create a new account. Any Help iwould bevery thankfull for. I use this driveandtb for my homebiz. and on the road travel and need torecover what is missing.

When launching Thunderbird portable 2.0.0.22 I get an error about an unresponsive script continuing does not appear to work the script does not appear to disable any functionality. Any ideas?

Using TB Portable I select a group of emails to delete them. Then I want to unselect just only one of them by pressing CNTL + Left Mouse Button but nothing happens. Many Thanks.

Thunderbird Portable Live Regression

The actual Thunderbird Portable (2.0.0.22) does not work properly in Live mode (i.e. running from an read only medium) as described in https://portableapps.com/support/thunderbird_portable#cd
But looks like Thunderbird Portable is just creating a new profile structure at the temp folder without fist coping the profile from its sub folders

Some news servers require authentication password to allow connection.
Somehow this seems not to be possible with TB or is it? Hw?

When I delete a folder in Localfolders it goes to the Trash folder.
There it can be deleted. But on firing up Thunderbird again, its back!
I tried using the Localfolder to import copies of my Outlook Express emails.
This worked, but I cant get rid of old folders.

For some reason, I have a new account listed in my listings. It is just "news" and it seems to be a usenet account. I really don't recall making another one, as I already have one news.usc.edu made

Just seems odd to me, did it happen to anyone else?
