Thunderbird Portable

My Tbird crashes, freezes up when, but not always but mostly, a link is clicked on. I did a register cleaning and it seemed to help for a few hours, but then the same problem returned. I did an adware and spyware search and nothing turned up. I also did virus scan and found nothing.

Sometimes it takes forever for the link to open up and Tbird will work after wards, but mostly it just freezes up on the link click.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Every few weeks or sometimes months I see a very strange set of conditions. I will find that large numbers of mails have been either either moved/copied into other folders or duplicated multiple times or both things together.

I never seem to lose any data, but it's a pain trying to sort it out.

These aren't folder that are even close to adjacent in the stack, so it's not finger trouble on my part.

Any one else experienced this or are the aliens who steal all the odd socks just persecuting me?

I have been using Thunderbird Portable for the last few months, now I've installed Thunderbird (not portable) onto my computer, I was wondering how I can geg certain emails from the Thunderbird Portable folder into the local Thunderbird folder.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help me out!

Can anyone let me know how to stop all the shortcut keys on Thunderbird Portable 2.0.0.14?
I seem to hit the control and s keys a lot meaning that the message is saved in the Drafts folder.
Since I do not use the shortcuts I would like to cancel them all or at least the Save function as described above.

I've just added Reminderfox v1.7 to T-BirdPortable (no other T-Bird on the machine) and would like to specify the start page to be the "Reminder List" as mentioned in the installation notes at http://reminderfox.mozdev.org/installation.html

I confess that I don't know what chrome is all about or how references to it should work but chrome://reminderfox/content/addreminder-dialog.xul doesn't do the business for me. According to extensions.rdf, "Options" and "About" seem to be .xul in chrome and they work OK.

How should I specify this "path" in T-Bird so as to retain portability?

New at this... How would I go about importing my laptop TB settings onto my thumb drive? I'd like them to work the same, have my address book,etc.

I have been using Portable Thunderbird for almost 2 years and today it simply sottped working.

It doesn´t even start... it gives an error message that I just can´t copy.

After the crash, I copied the whole Thunderbird folder into my Desktop.

I reinstalled the Portable Thunderbird in my pen drive, and it opens ok. But I lost everything (e-mails, configurations, accounts settings,...). What folders or files I should copy back to the Portable Thunderbird folder so I can use the reinstalled program, but also with all my previous data and configuration ?

Here is my setup. I run Thunderbird portable off of a USB harddrive at work that I synch up with my laptop. Every so often, after a synch the prefs.js gets corrupt. I have figured out how to re-find my profile and emails so I dont lose any emails - but I have to completely re-set all of my prefs and accounts which is a HUGE pain.

Is there an easy method to export/import my contactslist in Outlook to the portable Thunderbird application?
(Just PortableApps installed - looks very promising)

I really need to get a copy of this particular version. It is needed in a primitive area with limited computing resources. 2.0 won't run, but all 1.5 versions are fine. I understand that 1.5.0.14 was the last in the series.
Did Google, and found lots of places to get the German version... and only the German version. Interesting!!
