Hi, I have been using Thunderbird portable 32-bit from Portableapps.com (now version 68.6.0) for many years.
In summer 2020 (64-bit) version 78 - PGP ENCRYPTION will be natively added.
Will you publish a portable 7x (64 bit) W10 version ?

My TB-portable is on 60.9.1 the latest downloadable version on this site. The updater reminds me since about some weeks. Latest version out is 68.5.0. When will TB-portable will be updated to this an be available as download here?
HI !
When will it update to 68.5.0.. this great portable app ? THX a lot, the answer !
Sending a zip file gives the error message that no email program is installed or no association made. Zip file was missing from the default program file list in win7. I switched to Open with TB in zip file properties. Zip file was restored in default list that showed TB as default program, but still could not send with the same error. Tried a couple of solutions offered online (don't remember now) and lost explorer as a choice in zip file properties. Sendto file does exist and is associated with TB. System restore does not complete with an error no access to a file.
I have a ThunderbirdPortable problem. I made a backup with Acronis True Image 2020.
With restore, however, all settings and accounts are gone in the program.
The program is going to open, so the backup didn't break the program.
Hi there,
just played around with ThunderbirdPortable's calendar (lightning). The calendar itself is working fine. Even if I move the PortableApps folder to another path Thunderbird and its calendar works nicely - as long as I use only local calendars.
This is not the case for caldav-based calendars. If I move portable apps I neither can access the caldav calendar nor can I create a new calendar. The entire calendar management got stuck.
Is there any summary update on the next Thunderbird version that will be available beyond 60.9.1? I'd like to update my current version (52.9.1) but 60.9.1 isn't the current version, 68 seems to be having issues going portable and 71.0b1 is the next portable version that is available. Seems like a mixed bag-o-nuts right now. What is the best course to take?
I posted this to the Thunderbird forum thinking it is probably a Thunderbird issue. They suggested I post here, so here goes. I've had Thunderbird installed as a "Portable" application on my Thinkpad X1 (6th gen), Windows 10 Pro machine for over a year (installed on 06 Sep 2018). Profile resides on a network location. Never had a problem with Thunderbird updates until I noticed an issue today (it looks like the last update, v60.9.1, was on 07 Nov 2019). The update presently fails for an "unknown reason". I've tried the suggestions in another Thunderbird post multiple times but no luck.
