As I please quickly, simply import all thunderbird content (all different accounts, data) into thunderbird portableapps as well as mail (originally stored or also from backup archive files) from other e-mail clients in OS windows 8.1pro 64bit...? I have the complete stored (cca 53GB) contents of directories, Thunderbird files in a portable USB HDD. Unfortunately, I don't get to the original Thunderbird profile, which was in the laptop because it's destroyed, so there was no backup total file created in that old app profile, nor did individual emails be stored in the files.

Can't View Thunderbird Account Settings

Submitted by Theo1352 on March 15, 2022 - 4:03pm

Afternoon...

I am running T'Bird 68.xx (I think - I don't want to view "About" because I don't want to upgrade)

This is my dilemma...I would like to change my server settings to be prepared for the May 30th deadline for OAuth2 authentication, but I can't view account settings on any of my 3 Gmail accounts.

All I can view is a small dialogue box with the name of the account (my email address) and "account actions", nothing else.

I fear that if I can't get to the full menu of settings, I will loose everything come May 30th.

Suddenly not finding TB profile at startup

After a reboot. when I start Thunderbirdportable 91.6 from my pinned spot on the taskbar - I check the properties map to D:\Applications\ThunderbirdPortable - it now looks to setup an email account!

It was working perfectly prior to the reboot.

How can I get my D:\Applications\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile loaded and why did this happen?

Missing "Open message in conversation" feature in 91.6?

I recently upgraded from Thunderbird portable version 60.0.1 to 91.6, using it standalone, no platform.
I have been trying to get to see my sent emails in conversation in Thunderbird. The Thunderbird forum has been advising me via a thread I started.
It turns out there is a context menu option, "Open message in conversation"

Print hangs up - never prints

I've been a user of Thunderbird Portable for many years, and this is a recent problem.

My current Thunderbird Portable is Version 91.5.1 (32 bit).

Sometime a couple of months ago, after I believe there was a Thunderbird update, I began to have a problem when trying to print an email message from Thunderbird. The "Preparing Preview" screen opens, and then never proceeds at all. There is a spinning icon by the words "Preparing Preview" - and on the right side of the screen is the word "Print".

Thunderbird 91.5.1 can't access FTP calendar

Submitted by jf on February 2, 2022 - 5:05am

I use a network calendar on my LAN that has the following URL:

ftp://(username):(pasword)@192.168.178.9/USERDATA/userdata/famille/calendrier/No.ics

TB portable cannot synchronize it because TB portable does not know how to open the URL: it briefly asks which app to use in a window ("How do you want to open this? Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge") that immediately disappears. The calendar is listed but remains empty.

I thought a ftp client was included in TB to handle FTP URLs.

ThunderbirdPortable leftovers in AppData and Registry

Submitted by AbsolutelyRandom on January 30, 2022 - 3:42am

I have found a few Thunderbird-related leftovers. I use Win7x64. I have been using Thunderbird since the previous version (91.5.0 I suppose). I've been using two extensions: Dark Reader and Thunderbird Conversations.

LEFTOVERS
Files:
1. AppData\Local\Thunderbird
2. AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird
Registry:
1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Thunderbird
2. HKEY_USERS\***pc-user-personal-id***-Classes\Software\Thunderbird

***pc-user-personal-id*** - it's a random string which is different for each Windows user profile
