I have multiple profiles running in multiple instances of thunderbird at same time.

Each version of thunderbird portable has updated
ThunderbirdPortable.ini
with changes as below
AdditionalParameters= -no-remote

I have setup multiple copies of PortableApps

How do I return to a viable version without losing data? Update of working ThunderbirdPortable gave "error:platform version 91.11.0 is not compatible with minVersion>=91.10.0 maxVersion

Due to a stupid mistake with robocopy, my Thunderbird portable (56.??), which I had been using for a long time (30K mails), including backups, was deleted.
With Recover software I was able to recover the "profile" folder and an infinite number of caches, among other things. I can't say whether all files are complete
How do I get TBP running again?
Preferably with all settings, etc., if not then I'm also satisfied with the access (import) of the complete mails.

Gmail server is not accepting my PW anymore, I guess due to new policy restricting less secure apps. After fiddling with their instructions to manage apps that are absent from my account, I'm about to give up on gmail altogether rather than fiddling with t-bird. My version 58.2, works fine (except slow startup) and I don't like updating to avoid unwanted changes.

Any simple solution before I cancel my 20-year old gmail account?

I'm new here and miss the newest Thunderbird 91.9.1.

This newest version is already possible over the Thunderbird Update Process.
But I would prefer to make the update direct via PortableApps. Unfortunately there is
no 91.9.1 available yet.

So, how long takes it normally to have an update here too?

Je suis à la recherche d'un logiciel client gratuit, utilisable sur Windows 10 Pro, en POP,avec mises à jour régulières pour remplacer mon vieil Oulook 2003 déjà en POP, qui rencontre de plus en plus de problèmes avec windows 10 et n'est plus mis à jour depuis longtemps sauf à acheter un MSoffice récent.
Sur Outlook 2003, les données (mails, carnet d'adresses, taches etc..) sont stockées dans un unique fichier (.pst) aisément délocalisable.
La configuration des comptes en revanche se situe dans la base de registre.

currently google seems to disable access to its services except its own apps.
Is there some experience how to enable Thunderbird portable to use gmail or google calendar or address book stored at google?

91.8.1 64bit takes forever for handshake, and transmittal.. VERY noticeable compared to any of the previous updates.. Anyone else see this?

I use USB Token for Digital Singing. It is working when I use on FirefoxPortable and other programs like Office and etc. Unfortunately when I want to use it on my email client (ThunderbirdPortable) I cannot add the singing. There isn't certificates in "Your Certificates" in the settings S/MIME Certificates.
What can be the problem?

I have just launched Thunderbird and can see this: https://i.imgur.com/2lqeMQl.png.
In settings I have it switched to: "Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them".
Shouldn't update feature be totally disabled for portable application? I suspect an inexperienced user may launch auto-updates which in result will ruin portability of app.
