Firefox 3.0.5 / oclite v1.0 plugin - possible bug ??

Submitted by kermit.frog on January 23, 2009 - 11:17am

OK I've just 'updated' from portable Firefox 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 & when starting I get message stating that 'oclite plugin is not compatible with 3.0.5' (or words to that effect)

Looking in the Plugins - & 'oclite' is disabled (as per normal incompatible plugins)

However there's no 'Uninstall' option avaliable, all buttons are greyed out ([Options] / [Enable] / [Uninstall] )

So what exactly is this 'oclite' plugin ??

Suggested revision for support page

Submitted by colinnwn on January 23, 2009 - 10:15am

I have a suggested revision for the support page. Do the developers/website guys read this forum?

I didn't read the support page close enough and thought the link to John's paf installer was the same thing as the xpi installer instructions immediately below. Either way, the xpi instructions no longer seem to work (at least on 3 different installations of firefox I have). I get the error message it couldn't be installed because "the installer script couldn't be found -204."

Firefox automatically clears my history

Submitted by ManiakMatt on January 21, 2009 - 5:33pm

Hi All,

My first post as usually I find the info I am looking for from all you knowledgeable guru's......enough buttering up, I need answers!...lol

For the last week or so I have had Firefox automatically changing my privacy settings to "always clear my private data when I close Firefox"

I have changed this setting back just before closing a few times now and it keeps changing itself back.

It happened after I installed and then uninstalled the "Morning Coffee" add-on.

Any ideas on what to check?

Cheers,
Matt

Downloads fail at the end

Submitted by dwschulze on January 21, 2009 - 3:35pm

Everything I've tried to download has failed right at the end of the download. I get a *.part file that looks like a complete download, but the download never completes. Download manager says that a few seconds remain, but never completes.

When I restart Firefox it tries to finish the download, but fails again. The attempted download restart has also overwritten a file that I copied to the same directory of the same name.

I'm using version 3.5

Is there a URL to file a bug for this?

divx plugin

Submitted by lokomotiv_lib on January 21, 2009 - 12:40pm

I use downloadhelper add-on for download videos from several websites, most of videos online are *.flv but some are *.divx and my ffp don't play them, It shows a textbox: "divx plugin", Then ffp searchs the plugin but seems doesn't found anything and then said "unknown plugin".

I have searched that plugin but I don't find it.

Can you tell me where to find that plugin?

Thanks a lot
