Hi, I installed aMSN portable to a USB Drive but i noticed that if the drive changes, all of the settings disappear. (For example, copying over the entire folder to the C Drive will make the program appear as if it was just downloaded... aka no settings)

the files seems to be still in the DATA folder but it's not being recognized for some reason. Is there any fix to this? Thanks for your time

P.S. System is Windows XP Media Center Ed. 2004 (Service pack 3)

This is a new problem that wasn't present in the pre-release version of gVimPortable 7.2
When gVim is installed with spaces in its path, the :make command will complain that it "Can't open errorfile [path_to_gvim\Data\temp\VIe####.tmp]".
I use Win7beta and msys shell with make.

Greetings; I am using Portable TeamViewerto do obligatory "free" tech support for family and a few friends. TV now allows me to resolve issues without the drive time and expense. My family is quite happy as their issues get resolved far faster than before.

I just got the portable skype app that was made available Oct 23, very glad to see this come along as I use a separate computer at the office and at home and very eager to have skype histories and chats all on one. Never used portableapps before but intend to set up their firefox momentarily as I have a new computer and I’m going to put both on the mobile drive.

I have a question: I have all my call and chat history backed up from my old c: drive, can I just paste this over the portableapps Skype Portable and if so, where exactly? The directory where I have the info backed up is:

There is a new (new to me anyway free Bible program that works off of a usb stick. Might be adaptable to PA, if not could be an asset to some anyway. It has similar resources to Sword and E-sword.

Just d/l'ed the latest Dev Build (4.0.237.0) from PortableApps.com, and I'm running it from a network drive (personal Docs folder on LAN only accessible to me) from within the PortableApps folder.
It works great except that every time I close and then reopen, I lose all themes, extensions, passwords, etc. It seems that no settings, including those from the Options dialog, are saved. Going to chrome://extensions/ says no extensions are installed, even though I did install two in a previous session, and they worked fine.

My network IT team have just picked up an alert about file: blenderportable\App\Blender\blender.exe

Its been flagged and quarantined with suspicious behavior by Sophos Anti-Virus.
