Hello, I've just downloaded the latest release of Songbird portable.
However, it seems that add-ins won't install...
I have tried 2 ways: browsing in Songbird to a download page, and downloading an add-in to my desktop and installing from there (tested on LyricMaster and Last.FM). The result is a bit disappointing: Songbird recognizes an extension and asks for the restart to install it. After the restart nothing happens...

Is it a bug or add-ins are not expected to function in a portable edition?

hi all. i was using songbird portable with a really annoying bug and was eagerly awaiting the update. I just upgraded to find the bug still exists.

I'm using this on windows xp sp3. I'm using litestep as my shell just in case it matters. The problem is that when have it running and minimize the app, then maximize it again, I cannot minimize it unless I move the app before minimizing it again.

So again to reiterate the problem
1. Open songbird
2. minimize. it does minimize
3. maximize

I am trying to make Java portable work with the portable apps version of Mozilla Firefox. My understanding is that firefox portable should automatically find this. However it does not work, is there a specific install procedure to make it work with firefox? Does it just not work with firefox? I prefer to run it from a network shared drive, but I have also tried running them all from my local PC's drive. Please advise, much appreciated.

Im quite new to portable apps and I am having a little problem with one app... Its Canabalt... I downloaded and tried to install it several times but getting the same result when I try to install it... I get the following error message:

"Installer integrity has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installers author to obtain a new copy."

In BonkEnc 1.0.14 Portable theres the MP3 Codec missing.
I cant select -> Rip to MP3

I just used the Plugin Manager to uninstall Light Explorer (which I previously installed), and now every time I start up Notepad++, it asks me to apply pending actions. When I do that, it goes through the motions, then restarts, except all my customizations have been lost. If I then close N++ and restart, the plugin manager asks to apply actions again.

Looking into this further, it appears that when the Plugin Manager restarts N++, the launcher thinks it's finished and cleans up. Then N++ starts again, but with default settings.

Is there a way to make a .pdf file unsecured or change it so it can be spit using this program? I have a couple owner's manuals I want to get rid of the foreign languages from and the secured ones won't let me split them. Thanks!!!

When I use Chrome I notice that the activity indicator on my thumb drive constantly flashes. This does not happen om other portable browsers I use. Chrome puts the cache in the computers temp folder and deletes it on close so it's not that causing the activity. What is Chrome doing that makes it access the the thumb drive so much? It's going to prematurely ware out the drive and its slows down browsing.
