Hi I Downloaded ' PortableFileAssociator 2.2.1.8 ' but the zip file needs a password - and its nowhere to be found. Anyone know what it is or how to get it please?

I have the following issue:

TODOLIST works fines until it comes to paste something into COMMENTS.
COMMENTS are set to RICHT TEXT.

E.g. you are copying text from a website - lets say an adress - to the COMMENT and you try to save the task, a window pops up saying INVALID ARGUMENT FOUND.

It does not matter if you paste the text directly or if you first paste it to an Editor and copy it from there to the COMMENTS. So I do not think it is a format issue.

At Settings -> Configure Theme -> Window List -> Tree Window List -> Background -> Selected. This config take no effect. Issue cofirmed in version 4.2.0, specially the portable one from https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/kvirc_portable which I use.

Other bug is a strange entry in taskbar called kvirc4_ipc_sentinel, that is impossible to close.

I've been using the PAF Scribus with Ghostscript without issue for some time. Today I hit a wall in Inkscape trying to import an EPS file. Inkscape was not able to find the paths to the GS files.

With some trial and error, I hit upon this as a way to fix it:

I edited the \InkscapePortable\App\AppInfo\Launcher\InkscapePortable.ini by adding the following line at the end of the [Environment] section:

PATH=%PAL:PortableAppsDir%\CommonFiles\Ghostscript\bin;%PAL:PortableAppsDir%\CommonFiles\Ghostscript\lib;%PATH%


There appears to be a problem with JuicePortable_2.22.paf.exe that doesn't occur with the older JuicePortable_2.2.2.1.paf.exe. When I click on the "Check for new podcasts" button, it doesn't get all the podcasts. I'm subscribed to 170 feeds and am running Windows 7.

A few days ago I started to check the portability of plugins for PhotoFiltre Portable 7.0. I have used the plugin "Histogram editor". I could ascertain, that PhotoFiltre Portable 7.0 in connection with this plugin is still completely portable. Unfortunately I failed in the attempt to create a plugin installer. Regarding the causes of this failure I refer to my remarks in the article Creation of a Plugin Installer.

Has anyone an idea to solve this problem?

I had trouble again burning a data CD using Infrarecorder Portable, the burning application I had installed. I went to cdnet and downloaded the latest version of Infrarecorder and installed it. I find I still have the following files on my PC running XP/Pro SP-3. I uninstalled Infrarecorder using Add/Remove. Now there is no entry for InfraRecorder in Add/Remove.

The problem appears if Chrome Portable started with url in path + jPortable installed. In that case Chrome starting without Java plugin because $EXECSTRING is incorrect:
"chrome.exe" --user-data-dir="path\to\profile" --disk-cache-dir="path\to\Temp\GoogleChromePortable" -- http://goo.gl/ --extra-plugin-dir="path\to\CommonFiles\Java\bin\plugin2"

"-- http://goo.gl/" should follow last

Nice to see that CamStudio Portable was updated recently.

I was wondering if it was possible to integrate the CamStudio Lossless Video Codec with CamStudio Portable.

First, because of portability, of course.
And second, because that codec can be a real pain in the ass to install, especially on 64bit Win 7.
