I'm having a problem running MPlayer on a WinXp with valid and present OpenGL32 files. Can someone hint me to a fix?
Ok, I'm trying to choose between VLC and M Player Portable. Here's what I want to do: have a "do-all" player for the internet, Play common video files and mabie a DVD if I feel adventurous, and won't have to struggle to put in plugins for Firefox portable. It does not have to do all three but it must be close. Wadda u think!
I do not know if this is unique to Geek Menu or if it's in PAM, but everytime I close Geek Menu, Windows Vista gives me a "This program did not install correctly" error. I have to tell it that it is installed correctly... but the error is annoyin... anyone know what causes it?
Create the following directories beneath your PortableApps directory

Obtain the Skype.exe from an existing installation on any PC. Copy the Skype .exe to the following directory.
SkypePortable\Skype
Donwload and Install AutoIT http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/
Create a Script, using the AutoIT editor, with the following line
Run(".\PortableApps\SkypePortable\Skype\skype.exe /datapath:.\PortableApps\SkypePortable\Skype\Data /removable")
Compile the Script, using the AutoIT compiler, as follows
hi all,
I just tried to install memcache a pecl extension for php.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] E:\>pecl install memcache downloading memcache-2.2.0.tgz ... I've recently been using g95 to compile fortran programs. G95 requires MinGW and its libraries. The install g95 installer comes packaged with MinGW, and also an option to install g95 into a preexisting MinGW installation. Installing it on my home computer works fine, and I can compile without any trouble.
I have just un-installed the main Portable Apps system without any apps before formatting my drive. Now the drive's name is PortableApps and I can't delete anything off it. Help please!
I want to start playing around with NSIS, so I downloaded NSIS Portable and downloaded the latest version of NSIS. While I was poking around on their Wiki, I found information about integrating NSIS with Notepad++. I thought, "Perfect!"
However, when I read the instructions, step two says "Verify that makensis.exe is in your environmental user path." How would I do this with portable versions of these programs? Is it possible?
I tried entering the full path to makensis.exe in step three, but that didn't seem to work.

One day Miranda broke down - I don't know why. I was chatting with my friend and once Miranda didn't receive message from Andrzej. So I closed the window, waiting for next message from him. I saw he sent me sth then read it. I continued writing... Ane the same problem - I didn't receive message - but window was blinkin'!
Unfortunately, that problem affects everyone from my list.
