Putting the 'Tor Browser' onto the Portable apps menu? Seems impossible!

Submitted by justforfun47 on March 24, 2015 - 10:19am

I managed to get it to appear and function there once, but then I moved another file and now I only get error messages whenever it is clicked on from the portable apps menu.

For the life of me, no matter how many different combinations of drag and drops/copy and pastes I cannot get the app to appear on the portableapps menu and be clicked on and work.

Can someone help? I have searched the forums and found some similar posts but the solutions weren't clear and/or didn't work.

smoother app updating process

Submitted by jojothehobo on March 23, 2015 - 10:48am

Hi All:
Portable Apps is great and the bundled automatic updating is great. One change would make it even greater. That change is to the behavior of the updater when an application, for whatever reason, can't update. What happens then is the update process stops and a pop up screen appears saying "the app can't update because .......". It then asks you to click OK. Why wouldn't I?

BlueGriffon Portable - Optimizing for PortableApps

Submitted by michele.bartole... on March 19, 2015 - 12:46pm

Dear Forum,

I have recently installed a portable version of the useful HTML editor BlueGriffon in my USB drive. But it's not conformed to the PortableApps standard (I found it here in portablefreeware.com), so when I open the Platform, I see several "BlueGriffon" listed:

Windows Portable-Apps into Docker image running on Mac/Linux OS host.

Some Portable-Apps are specific to Windows OS but not on Mac/Linux OS.
Solution of this problem can be using Docker Virtuel Environment as a Virtual Machine but very light.

I tried a method to install very ease Portable-Apps into Docker Image through Wine emulator.
