We will be performing some scheduled maintenance to the site at 10AM EDT time (New York time) tomorrow. This maintenance will help the site run better and continue to grow and serve our millions of users. During this time, a simple status page will show stating that we'll be right back and have links to our downloads from SourceForge.net which will continue to work during the maintenance window. The maintenance should last about an hour but could run longer.
Thank you for your understanding and patience!
Best,
John
Is there actually a newsletter being published, or am I just not getting it for some reason? I've had this account with my gmail account for about a month, and I signed up for the newsletter using my ISP email at least a month before that, but I've never received a newsletter. When I click on the "newsletter" link at the top right of the screen, there is a link for previous editions, but that only shows the first one. Am I missing something? When did the last issue get published? Maybe you should automatically send the most recent edition to new subscribers. Thank you.
Hi,
I am new to PortableApps and need some simple help installing other apps not listed.
I am quite positive this topic has been discussed in the forums but I have yet to find it.
I want to install a lot of my favorite apps and I have read this:
I'm a rookie with all things C++ and have almost no idea what I'm doing but I was experimenting on making RocketDock portable (a launcher) but I don't know what i'm doing wrong. The C++ online tutorials did nothing to help. What am I doing wrong?

I just went to change my user picture for the forums, but it won't let me. When I go to submit the new settings on the Edit Account page, it errors out to tell me my email address is already registered. If I completely clear the email address field and try again, it tells me I have to enter a valid email address. Bit of a catch-22 here and I don't remember having this problem before...
Would it be possible to change all external hyperlinks in the forums to open a new tab/window. It is slightly frustrating when i forget to hold control when clicking on a link and then need to go back again. If I'm being overly picky, sorry
BTW - I really appreciate all the hard work that everyone has put into making the PA platform/apps a success. I would be lost without it.
In my never ending quest to be a computer idiot, for the second time I have prematurely deleted an email account and all the folders are gone. Is there anyway to recover them as there were several saved emails with travel information on some upcoming business trips. Can someone same my butt???? I'm thanking you in advance!!!
This topic is to answer the question of what apps are legal and what aren't allowed it is primarily for the PA Mods, but not exclusive.
I feel there is a need for clarification on legality of apps. Here is why?
Google Chrome Portable 2.0.162.0 https://portableapps.com/node/18051. There is a question posted there stating is the app legal.
In this request for Google Chrome Browser https://portableapps.com/node/17050 it was mentioned that Google Chrome cant be hosted here but Chromium can.
We have made our software PortableApps aware.
This means that there is no additional modification from any 3rd party necessary as it already runs fine on PortableApps. Is this the sole reason why only Open-Source would be listed here?
