Why does every single page of this website have a Firefow 3 logo on the bottom left-hand corner?
Hello,
I'm using PortableApps for a while and the more I use it the more I like it !
But there is one little detail that makes me quite afraid.
If I lose my USB key, all my documents can be taken by anyone.
So here is my question : is it possible to protect the access to the device with PortableApps on it with a password ?
I've been looking for a solution on this website and on the internet but I can not find anyhting about that request...
I asked the developer of OBEX commander for a portable version, this was his reply:
Thank you for using OBEX Commander.
Please use version 2.0 beta if you want to use it as portable application.
Install OBEX Commander as usual, then copy OBEX Commander folder to PortableApps folder of your USB drive.
+\PortableApps\
+\OBEX Commander\ +\PortableAppsMenu\ Commander icon will be available in menu.
After some research in the forums and in the rest of the internet. I couldn't find any specific information about this topic. So I'm trying to get some help from the community's know-how.
The point is:
I'm trying to develop a portable application to, lets say ,store information in a secure way in the pen drive, To be more simple to understand i will describe it using images as the information example.
I was just thinking, inspired by another topic, that for the holidays it would be a cool service for PortableApps to customize flash drives for gifts.
I'm just kinda curious... You know how some games which are distributed on CD don't require you to have the CD in to run the game? How sketchy would it be, legally speaking, to code a launcher for such a game and run it off a flash drive?
I do not know if this is possible but it would be nice to be able to download portable apps in a custom pack. For example, I could view the list of available portable apps and select specific apps to add to a download basket that I can then download. The download will contain a ZIP archive with the installers for the selective apps.

I have a notebook battery test application I created that I want to make available as a free, open-source download to the public. The battery test surfs the Web and records the time elapsed until the battery dies.
All morning I've been experiencing an issue with the tracker page. New posts are being listed but a few are stuck as having a "Last post" of "0 secs ago". This persists for minutes and sometimes hours across a refresh/reload. The replies remain marked as new despite my having viewed them before. Something broken on the server perhaps?
