Hello,

Do the portable apps write or erase from the thumb drive? I'm thinking they don't since it looks like atleast some of them can be run from a CD, but I want to be sure.

Also if its okay to ask, Once a drives write/erase cycles are maxed out, can the thumb drive still be read, and just not written to or erased? Or can it not even be read?

I really like what you're doing here with the development of PortableApps. Keep up the good work. Every few days I have been checking your site and am pleased to see new apps that I find useful being added (most recently Pidgin).

I am guilty of benefitting from your hard work for free for over a year and I think it is time that I do what I should have done a long time ago and give you some money for your efforts. So, be looking for a donation from me in the next couple of days (I'm only a student so it won't be as much as you deserve).

I have discovered a near perfect program that allows you to test out any program in a secure sandboxed area without contaminating your registry or Windows folder. Of course it is well known in geek circles (no offence at all) but perhaps people in this forum will find it essential too.

Does anyone know of a free CD/DVD Image creator. The porpose is to create a image to be used for a virtual CD Drive. I don't really care if it's portable I just need it to be free. Any feed back would be greatly appricated.

and second question can i use in my PAM Theme installer too??

I can only install .paf.exe programs when I chose for "Install a New App".

I have Office 2007 (word,excel,powerpoint) in portable format, how can I add these executables so they are coming visible in the apps menu like Firefox Portable.

I also have other programs which are portable and would like to see in the list under FireFox is this possible?

On softpedia.com I downloaded foobar2000 portable, why cannot I install it like Firefox Portable.paf.exe (Options->Install a New App.)?

Hi everybody, I just created a program using borland delphi that when opened it starts both thunderbird portable and FreePOPs, if I run it with double-click it works fine but if I start it from the p.a. menu then it doesn't work, I mean it opens the program but it wont open thunderbird nor freepops. can somebody explain me why? thanks
