I ran the NSW when I was trying to figure out how to connect two machines directly with an ethernet cable, and since then, my CoLinux setup has not been able to connect to the internet. It can communicate with the host, but it can't connect to the internet anymore. I am 100% sure this problem is not because of anything with CoLinux. Any ideas to fix this?

BTW, I learned how to connect two machines via ethernet. Turns out I just need a crossover cable.

FOSS Free Open Source Software

Thought this site might be of interest to people seeking free open source alternatives. There is too much to list here. They also provide a download of software for use on a removeable drive ( remarkably similar to the Portable Apps Suite ).
I don't think that this link will contravene the forum posting guidelines.

I have searched the forums for any similar link but found none.

Submitted by StephenQ on September 8, 2007 - 12:51am

Does anyone know how i go about proxifying programs which dont have any proxy settings built in?
Specifically an installshield installer?
Would this use IE's proxy settings?

Also, i cant find any working proxies based in the USA, would i be able to ask if anyone knows of one?

Pre Windows XP 32 bit icons and themes support? (dead)

Submitted by José Pedro Arvela on September 6, 2007 - 9:31am

I use Windows 2000 (When I can't use Wine Wink ), and, some time ago I saw something about a 3rd party tool to support alpha icons. Now, that I want it, I can't find it. Do someone know where to find it, and/or can give me an opinion about it, if you already used it (if it adds theme support only/too there's no problem)?

EDIT: I found Windows 2000 Transformation pack, but I can't download it Sad

EDIT2: I found another thing that may help me (and another users). It's the eXPerience Pack. I'll try it and say something.
